6. New royal friend

First day in new school and I was already screwed. I was thinking on how could I fix all this mess, when I saw the most beautiful girl coming to me.

With her beautiful big green eyes, long wavy blond hair, light skin and thin body she looked like a doll and almost fragile. She was just stunning and I almost felt jealous. She was one of those four outstanding creatures that I saw today morning.

As soon as she came closer I could smell that incredible scent again but now not so strong as before. She was definitely not the source but she had to be close to it. Therefore I was assuming that the source had to be one of the other three creatures from the morning. I had to figure out who it could be and why it affected me so much, if not I would have lost my mind.

“Hi I am Elorien, but friends call me El. You must be the famous Clotho! Nice to meet you.” she told me with angelic voice and she wanted to shake my hands.

Honestly I was too surprised. Not just because of her gorgeous appearance but also of her effort to be friendly. I haven’t expected that someone like her would be so friendly. In general, the beautiful creatures had nasty personality and she was totally different and I was suddenly thinking that it was a shame that I hadn’t my powers because I would like to see how her heart looked like but my instinct told me that this creature standing next to me was a way better than any god or goddess and I felt for a first time that I wanted to try to be a friend with her.

She was so freaking beautiful that my first thought was that she was more beautiful than my mother and I was sincerely hoping that they would never met. I knew my mother well and she would destroy everyone and everything what would be better than her in any way.

“You can call me Clo.” I said to her and my voice was shaking but she was ignoring my nervousness and for this I liked her even more.

“So Clo tell me, are you brave or totally nuts? After all I think you should already know that this academy is not normal academy and the students here are special or am I wrong? If so, what the hell were you thinking when you aggravated professor Blackwood? she asked curiously and I wished I could say something but she didn’t let me.

“He is one of the most terrifying teachers ever. No one dare to offend him and I never heard anyone speaking to him like you did - disrespectful. As a rarely human you already did great: you came late on your first day, you tried to sneak in the class full of diverse creatures, and you pissed off the most dangerous vampire in the world and still you seems like nothing happened at all. I haven’t felt your fear so you have my respect girl.” and she clapped me on my back.

“Yeah you know I really have suicidal tendencies so when I came today morning in the trainings hall I exactly knew whom and how to offend to succeed. So lucky me!” I said ironically when she already let me spoke.

She started to laugh and then she said:

“You are really funny Clo! I really like it so I hope we can be friends.”

She was waiting for my response but I was just staring at her because I didn’t know what to say. Honestly I wanted to be her friend more than anything but how could I have friends when I couldn’t say the truth.

When I was still silent she started to speak again as nothing happened:

“Now could you please tell me what happened there before?”

I hated lies and I was realy a terrible liar so I chose to tell her the truth or at least half of it because I already liked her.

“You know it might sounds awkward. I came late because something happened in my family and I lost the sense of time.

I was on my way to the dean’s office when some incredible smell hit me so I was following it until I noticed that I was in front of the big hall but I didn’t know that it’s a trainings hall so I decided to sneak unnoticed in not thinking to much about the consequences. Now I know that it was a stupid idea but in that moment I haven’t realized on how hilarious it might have been and unfortunately I hadn’t super senses so I really haven’t expected that all of you would know my presence. So I was in the shock when I noticed that all of you were looking at me and than I saw you and your friends and I was totally enchanted so I lost my mind for a second. Suddenly someone blocked my line of sight and I haven’t noticed that the man was the professor Blackwood and I insulted him right away with my boldly act. I know that I was reacting so silly and now everyone is thinking that I am crazy to offend a vampire but I can’t change what happened. Like you said it was crazy from my side but the worst thing is that he is my teacher and he surely will not forget that easily what I have done. Now I need to figure out on how to fix it or I will be death meat for sure!”

She started to laugh again and it was like a bright sunny summer day and I was wondering on how could be someone so perfect.

“You are realy weird, Clo and I mean it in a good way. In our world is realy hard to find someone so amusing as you. Most of the time you can see just serious and stern creatures. It was a long time ago when I laughed so much and today I met you and you made me laughing over and over again and hmm... you smell awesome. Like honey with cinnamon...hmmm so delicious.” she told me and sniffed near my neck. She moved so fast that I never noticed that she was so close and my heart started to beat faster.

“Calm down little. I will not harm you! You smell heavenly to me, but its strictly prohibited here to hurt someone. If someone breaks the rule, he will be automatically dismissed and you can trust me that no one wants that.” she said to me with a smirk.

“So don’t worry and please calm down if it’s possible because your heartbeat is so strong that I am worried that something may happen to you and as you already know it’s not just me who can hear it!” she said with a bright smile and I didn’t know why, I suddenly calmed down. It was like nothing happened at all, but it wasn’t normal. It was incredible almost like... spellbound!

“Who are you and what have you done to me?” I asked her more suspicious than surprised because I was quite sure that she had something to do with my calm mood.

“You know already who I am! I am Eli and I have done almost nothing to you.” she said a little bit nervous.

“What does it mean almost?” I asked her while trying to understand what she have done.

“I just calmed you down a little bit, because you needed it and it was for your own safety. I am truly sorry if I somehow offended you.” she said obviously upset.

I stopped in the middle way and I rolled my eyes, because more than to be angry or upset I was curious about what kind of creature she was and what were her abilities.

“Really? You know exactly what I mean! So don’t play stupid and please tell me what creature you are and what exactly you have done to me.” I said a little bit annoyed.

I saw that she was surprised by my question. Obviously she was thinking that I was mad or disappointed so she looked into my eyes and nervously said:

“If I tell you what I am, you will be scared and you wouldn’t be willing to be my friend anymore and I don’t want to lose your friendship because of your interest and I never met someone like you. It’s strange and I don’t believe on fate but I feel like we have to be friends and I know that it may sound awkward but I feel that I have to stay with you.”

I said nothing to her because it was hillarious. I knew that she didn’t know the fact that I was the goddess of fate but how could she not believe in fate?! I was sure that it was my sister’s doing. They liked to play with humans emotions as well as to mess up with others lives. If I had to guess which sister have done that then I would have bet that it was Lach’s doing. She liked when everything was complicated so maybe she thought that it would be funny and honestly it actually was.

She saw that I was still waiting for an explanation and I was not running away so she started to explain:

“Maybe it’s better that way! “she took a long breath and said:

“I am one of the royals and the other three that you saw in the morning are royals as well.”

This time it was me who started to laugh.

“Okay I was expecting everything but not that. You are like a queen or a princess? Should I call you your highness or majesty or something like that?” I asked her a bit seriously and a bit ironically.

She smiled and than she said:

“No, it’s really not necessary to call me like that. Actually I hate it when someone calls me your highness! For my friends I am just El.”

Then she took a deep breath and she said: “You were asking me who I really am so I just wanted to tell you that I am not an ordinary demon but the future demon queen and one of my ability is that I am able to affect the moods. You have asked what I have done to you so the answer is that I played a little bit with your mood so you could calm down a little bit and now when you already know the truth you will probably run away from me.” she ended up her speaking sadly.

I looked at her while being startled and in a shock. I was surprised because I never thought that she would think that something like that could stop me to be her friend and shocked because I never thought that she could be a future demon queen.

I didn’t realize that she could take my expression in a wrong way therefore I was confused when she suddenly said:

“See, like I said, now when you already know the whole truth you surrely don’t want to be my friend!” she said sadly and turned away.

I caught her hand and when she turned back to me I saw tears in her eyes. In this moment I knew that I wanted be her friend and I didn’t want to see her crying anymore.

I gently whipped her tears and said softly:

“You said nothing that could stop me to be friend with you.”

She looked at me with hope and my heart melted up and I said to her:

“I am really thankful that you told me everything but this can’t really stop me. Honestly I was not looking for any friends. It is too tiding to have friends and I was really a bad material for a friend so I was always without friends but today I met you and you know what? I feel the same way as you. I think we should be friends so I don’t care if you are mere demon or demon princess I will stay with you as your friend but please don’t use your power on me without my contest.

“Are you serious?” she asked with glowing eyes.

I nodded and she embraced me with a big hugh.

“The last thing..”she said nervously.“ I hope that you can be friend with the others royals too. They are truly amazing! You will know when I introduce them.”

“Yeah.. well...” I tried to tell her that this would not happen and that I don’t want other friends but then she quickly said:

“Now we are already here. This is our dean’s office!” and I totally forgot what I wanted to say.

I saw a big door with old door knocker. I didn’t have time to think or prepare myself for my first meeting with the dean because as soon as we reached the door she knocked on the door.
