When she reached the hospital emergency lobby and ask for Mr. Montillano, they advised her to stay right there at the moment and wait for further advise.

She was shocked. And didn't know what to do. She did find a seat but think twice before forgetting it altogether. She just stand on one side of the panel.

Waiting.

She could sense Royce crying from some where in the room. Pero sa dami ng rooms and nurses and doctors coming in and out of every other rooms, she couldn't think straight.

She wiped tears that naturally flows down her cheek. She's crying in silent. While waiting for news.

'What if?' she thought. And then quickly erase the thought. Nakailang iling siya.

A couple more minutes, humahangos naman si Rej. The second child of Mr. Montillano. She is accompanied by her fiance. Hindi rin siya tinignan. Dumiretso lang. And she was left alone again.

She never felt so useless since namatay ang tatay niya. The only family she got before finally leaving her alone. No one would take her in after that. And she's nowhere to go.

"Ma'am, please take a seat po muna. We will be bringing Mr. Montillano to the ICU", mahinahong sabi ng nurse after a few more minutes.

She was stunned. Unable to move.

"I-ICU?" disgruntled and a shaky voice.

"Yes, for further monitoring. Please take a seat", she said again and then left.

'Di ba kapag ICU, critical?' she thought.

'Bakit?'

'Anong nangyari?'

She could sense panic inside her.

She reached out her bag and looked at her phone. Scrolled the contact list. When she found the name of Mrs. Ann Marie Montillano, she stopped. Thought of pressing the call button as was the instructions from Mr. Montillano just in case something happened to him. But decided against it after a few seconds.

Held the phone at her chest. Close her eyes while tears continue to stream down her cheeks.

'Anong sasabihin ko?'

'Am I the right person to tell her?'

'I might cause more trouble'

"What are you still doing here?!"

Narinig niya ang boses ni Royce. Biglang napamulat siya.

"Kumusta na po si sir?" she asked almost immediately, instantly dismissing the tone and question of Royce. She glanced at Rej at ng fiance nito na nakasunod.

"You are NOT a family. So just leave!" mariing sagot lang ni Royce without even looking at her.

She turned to Rej. Pero iniiwas din nito ang tingin sa kanya.

"They brought him to the ICU. Stroke." Lawrence voluntarily said. Ang boyfriend ni Rej.

Napatingin siya ke Lawrence. But Lawrence only motion her to leave.

"Just go," in a low voice he ordered her. "It will be alright. I'll let you know more details".

Sa kabila ng kaayawan sa kanya ng magkapatid, Lawrence is not bias. Mabait ito sa kanya since the first time na makilala niya ito. He is a restaurator and owns several restaurants in the city.

He never ill treated her. Kaya kahit mabigat sa loob, napilitan siyang humakbang palabas ng emergency room.

At the front, she didn't know where to go. She decided to go back to the office instead.
