Chapter Four: ObsessionNicholas takes one last look around the new room. Everything's perfect. It had been perfect two years ago when he started getting it ready for her, wishing she would grow up faster so he could have her sooner.
He had painted the walls a gentle shade of pink, and then blue, and then back to pink before settling on a dark blue tone with stars painted on it, professionally done by an artist that he flew in from Milan. He hops the color would help calm her down when she's feeling frightened. Humans are such fragile things and he wants her to be comfortable when she's here.
She'll be eighteen when she arrives.
