As Marcus turned and walked away, Kimora watched helplessly, tears welling up in her eyes. She wanted to call out to him, to apologize, to make things right. But the words stuck in her throat, choked by the guilt and confusion that swirled within her.
Maya reached out and placed a hand on Kimora's shoulder. "Are you okay?" she asked softly.
Kimora shook her head, her voice cracking with emotion. "I don't know, Maya. I didn't want to hurt Marcus. But I can't deny what I'm feeling."
As the night grew darker, Kimora and Maya stayed by the bench, wrapped in each other's arms. Kimora's mind raced with thoughts of Marcus, of their relationship, and of the future that seemed so uncertain.
"What do we do now?" Kimora asked, her voice trembling. "I don't want to lose you, but I don't want to hurt Marcus any more than I already have."
Maya stroked Kimora's hair gently. "We have to be honest with ourselves and with Marcus," she said. "Maybe we can talk to him, tell him how we feel.
The next day, Kimora met Marcus at a nearby coffee shop. She had spent the night tossing and turning, her mind racing with what she would say to him.
As Marcus approached the table, his expression was guarded and distant. Kimora's heart sank.
"I'm sorry," she blurted out, her voice breaking with emotion. "I never wanted to hurt you. I know I messed up, and I'm so sorry."
Marcus stared at her for a long moment, his face betraying no emotion. Finally, he sighed and shook his head.
