* * * Hope’s POV * * * It has been hours, it feels like it has been days. Hours of us women cooped up in this safe room, wondering what has happened and what is going on, all while wandering around aimlessly. We can’t get out; they’ve locked us in. The drinks keep being poured, we have eaten more food, board games have been played and we have taken naps. All the while, I have impatiently waited for that damn phone to ring, so that we can know more about the incident that occurred and why they have taken Hayden from me. I lie on the bed, monotonously fiddling with the edges of my mother's poetry book. I feel restless and giddy, probably because of the amount of food I’ve eaten.
