We pull into my parking spot moments later. I hop out of my seat and jog up the stairs to open the school door for Jaylie before escorting her to our classroom. We enter the room and I walk beside her, on her right side just in case Shaliece pulls another stunt like earlier. I bring her to her desk smack in the middle of the semicircle before continuing on to my desk. Mr. Maddox glances at his wristwatch, but says nothing about how long we were gone.
