My brows furrowed in confusion at Acacia's question. She sounded almost like Maryce. What else is coming? What else does she know? What isn’t she telling us?
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked, causing Acacia to turn to me. I could see the hesitation in her eyes as soon as the question left my mouth.
I quickly shook my head. "Oh no, it's okay, you don't have to answer all of them. I understand it isn't safe for you to speak about everything, seeing as you already said there are people watching and listening. So just do this, okay?
