KEHINDE

Chapter 18

Kehinde is situated at her normal spot. It was really dark but she still preferred it to the room, she couldn't put up with Fatiah and Aishas' rubbish. They have been irritating her ever since and Tolani was yet to be back from the shop.

She slaps her bare laps, which was clearly exposed cause of the short gown she was putting on. It was sleeveless and the mosquitoes outside were really doing a great job on her body, she hisses and mutters an incoherent word.

She becomes alert when someone joins without saying a word, she knew it was him, she could identify him even If her eyes were closed.

"Good evening," She greets.

"How are you?" Ayomide asks politely.

"I'm fine and you?" She asks. Not comfortable with how formal they were been.

"I'm sorry," Ayomide says completely ignoring her previous question.

"It's nothing Ayo," She says now replaying the incident in her head.

"I wanted it also," She says throwing him off guard.

"Then why did you leave that way?" Ayomide couldn't help but asks.

"Was just scared, it reminded me of an incident I wish to Forget," Kehinde says. Even if she couldn't see his face she knew he had a puzzled look on his face.

"I Was r***d," She blurts out.

This send a chill into Ayomide's body, he couldn't help but face her properly.

"What, how, who did that to you?" Ayomide asks almost the same time without stuttering.

"Am not the type that mingles with people easily let alone guys, most people called me a lesbian, of course, they wouldn't dare say it to my face," She let's out a weak smile. Meanwhile Ayomide eyes urges her to continue.

"I gained admission into one of the best private universities, with my dad influence and all that stuff. From the first week of resumption there was this particular guy who kept disturbing me, of course I turned him down so many times the same way I did to the other guys. But his case was different, he wanted to have me at all cost, but since I didn't give him the opportunity he plotted getting me r***d," Kehinde stops and takes a deep breath it seemed like she was kinda choking.

"Calm down," Ayomide tries to help.

"His plan worked, he r***d me," Kehinde says while her voice croaks, she breaks down at once.

"Hey, calm me," Ayomide try's to console her.

"He r***d me," she mutters amidst sobs. Looking at how she cried, Ayomide couldn't help but feel hurt, he couldn't deny the fact her tears broke his heart. He clenches his fist trying to hold on. This time around Kehinde was already sobbing aloud, he tries to calm her down.

"I know it hurts, but you can get through this," he assures.

"Since I had no prove, and was head bent on taking my revenge, I almost stabbed him to death," Kehinde says shocking Ayomide, he couldn't believe his ears, was she that violent?

"Kehinde, you took laws into your own," Ayomide says.

"He r***d me for goodness sake, that was the least he deserved," Kehinde spits out with venom.

"You could have been arrested you know," Ayomide says wondering how bitter she had become.

"Yeah, and the best part is, I was expelled," She says amidst laughter. Ayomide could tell the laughter was bitter.

"Kehinde!"

"My dad negotiated with his, I had no proof and he had none too, I properly disposed of the knife," she says amidst laughter.

"Kehinde stop it, I know its breaking you," Ayomide says staring at Kehinde, she really got the guts, stabbing a guy he thought.

"When you tried touching me, the whole image came back, I couldn't control it, that was why I pushed you away," Kehinde sobs. She knew she was a cry baby and hated that fact. She comes to her senses when Ayomide embraces her.

"Crying doesn't suit your pretty face," he says earning a smile from her.

"Are you messing with me?" She asks with a smile which Ayomide returns.

She quickly pulls away and cleans her tears.

"You are such a cry baby" he teases

"Remove the cry, I'm your baby," She responds with a smile. Meanwhile Ayomide couldn't help but smile too.

"Come here," he says while gently placing her on his Laps, they both stare into each other's eyes while he caresses her face and drops a kiss on her forehead surprising Kehinde.

"Come on, go get some sleep," Ayomide says.

"Tolani isn't in the room and I can't stand Fatiah and," Kehinde found herself saying.

"Okay let's go over to my room," Ayomide says but pauses when he realized what he was saying.

"room," Kehinde says while getting up and completely ignoring him.

Aisha stands at a corner with a big frown on her face, she hisses out of frustration meanwhile Fatiah who just hugged a guy bade him goodnight before walking over to were Aisha stood.

"Why didn't you follow him to his house?" Aisha asks mockingly.

"Sorry na, didn't mean to waste your time," Fatiah respond sweetly.

"Abeg let's start going home, you have forgotten that Iya Fatiah sent us to get drugs," Aisha says.

"Wait Jor, don't be in such a hurry, she isn't dieing yet, wait let me calculate this drugs," Fatiah says while bringing out some bundle of cash from her b*a meanwhile Aisha face lits up in excitement.

"You love money so much," Fatiah says with a smile, on noticing how excited her cousin was

"Who doesn't love money?" Aisha asks with an evil smirk.

"Ayo!" Kehinde calls out almost screaming, they have been playing WOTH and she believes he had been cheating, cause he will peep into her card with any opportunity he had and

has won her ten straight times without letting her equalize.

"What?" Ayomide asks.

"I'm not playing again," She responds.

"Why? Cause I want to win again, cheat!" Ayomide says mockingly and laughs.

"You have been cheating," Kehinde retorts.

"You are lying, you are the one cheating," Ayomide says with a grin

"It's a lie," Kehinde says frowning. Meanwhile, Ayomide couldn't help but laugh at how babyish she was sounding. She was really a big baby.

"Big baby," He calls out

"Leave me alone," Kehinde responds.

"I won't," Ayomide says moving closer to her meanwhile Kehinde hisses and mutters some incoherent words.

"She is angry," Ayomide says moving closer to her, while she ignores him.

"Fine, I'm angry," Ayomide apologies

to Kehinde who still ignores him.

"Even if I did nothing wrong oh' he says.

Kehinde, on the other hand, doesn't even spare him a glance, he quickly gets on his knees and before Kehinde could say anything he starts tickling her, she screams and laughs at the same time, Ayomide try's his best to pin her in such a way even if she tried she couldn't overshadow him.

"Pl..e.ple..e.ase," she stutters.

"No," Ayomide replies still tickling her.

"Please na," Kehinde says amidst laughter.

"No, shey you want to claim anger? You haven't started," Ayomide says meanwhile Kehinde let out a loud scream which makes Ayomide place his lips on her's trying to suppress the sound. He gradually let's goes of her hips while they share a brief kiss. He stylishly places a lingering kiss on her forehead head, this act makes Kehinde smile shyly. Meanwhile Ayomide stares at her intensely while using his left hand to caress her face. They continue to stare at each other silently before Ayomide breaks it.

"You are really started," He says making Kehinde look away trying to hide the blush.

"She is blushing," He laughs while he turns her face back to his direction. Meanwhile Kehinde couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach. Seeing how uncomfortable she was he smiles out.

"Maybe, Tolani would have been back by now," He says completely changing the topic.

"So you are chasing me away?" Kehinde asks feigning hurt.

"You are such a drama queen," Ayomide says to Kehinde who tries to adjust her blouse.

"Don't try to seduce m,e" Ayomide says mischievously.

"Look at who is talking, I don't even have to lift a finger to make you beg," Kehinde assures him.

"Silly girl," Ayomide says while he gets up and takes her by the hand. They walk to the door holding hands. Immediately he opens the door she rushes out.

"Sleep Tight," She says.

"Take care," Ayomide responds meanwhile Kehinde scans the environment properly when she was sure no one was in sight she steals a kiss with a naughty look on her face, she attempts to walk away but get dragged back by Ayomide who wraps his hands around her waist and deepens the kiss, they kiss for a while but the sound of something makes them pulls away as fast as they could.

Kehinde tries her best to control her heartbeat, the fear of been caught was evident on her face.
