Will wasn’t sure, he wasn’t sure at all, but then it seemed like he was sure about nothing these days. He’d thought the world was bad enough before he got thrown twenty years into a dinosaur dominated future. But now, looking back on those days when all he had to worry about was climate change and avoiding the school bullies, it seemed like a lazy stroll in the park.
Living now, in this time, in this moment, was the hard part. Trying to keep from getting eaten was bad enough, but then having to deal with other people, other children, who were intent on killing him, was much worse.
Will’s neck was beginning to hurt, having to keep his head craned back to look at Lee. She was sat on the top of the wall still, looking down at Will and Helen and waiting for their answer.
