The longer I stayed away from Gabriel, the more desperate I became to see him. Even though I enjoyed my time with Lukas, I couldn’t forget my other mates, yet Lukas refused to listen. Instead of engaging with me, he became quiet, making me stop eating and reassess the situation from a different angle.
Maybe Lukas just needed some time to warm up to the idea. Gabriel hadn’t seemed very thrilled in the beginning either, but he had become more open to it because of how much it pained me.
