So we’re sitting at this dinner and they question our bond. How would they do it exactly?” I asked. “Subtly.” “Subtly?” “Such as, ‘You think you can keep someone like Gabriel interested’?” he said, altering his voice slightly to sound snobby. “Goddess,” I groaned. “You think they might actually ask that?” “Yes.” “And what do I reply?” I asked, seeing him smile a little.
