As I arrived at work, I had barely placed my stuff down before I saw a text from Gabriel asking me to come see him. I wondered why he wanted to see me so early. I had only just arrived, but I couldn’t let the boss wait, and I was starting to feel excited about being in his presence. So, I walked back to the elevator and pressed the up button. It arrived soon enough, and I entered before going up to the next floor. I once again received a strange look from the assistant, but she didn’t say anything. I walked over to where the door led into Gabriel’s office, hearing voices on the other side.
I froze, looking at the door before glancing over my shoulder at where the assistant was sitting. I walked over to her, and she looked up.
“Is he not alone?” I questioned.
“He has guests.
