THE RETURN OF THE WHITE LUNA

CHAPTER ONE Lucia's POV

“My God….Damon”,I said as I swung open the door to his master bedroom with my eyes and mouth wide open.

Tears began to drop freely from the edges of my eye lids.I felt my heart jump out as the rate of my breathing increased.

“No…I can’t believe you are doing this to me”,I said dropping to my knees as I saw both him and Shreda naked in bed with their clothes on the ash tiled floor with Damon thrusting into her forcefully while she moaned.

Both Damon and Shreda looked at me with a smirk on their faces when they caught my gaze.

“I am the Alpha’s love”,she said. “While you are nothing but a cheap,low peasant who can’t even fend for herself.

I stood still in the room lost in thought about what was happening right before my very eyes as sweat had begun to appear on my forehead.

I felt my knees stuck to the floor like a magnet bar without any nudge to move.

“Shreda is who I truly love.I have never really loved you Lucia”,Damon said with a dominant smirk on his face as they both put on their clothes after their lovemaking session.

“I hate you!…I hate you!”,I screamed throwing my arms at him and bursting into tears as I stood up from the floor.

Shreda and Damon exchanged a passionate kiss right before my very eyes before she brushed past me and left the room as if nothing had happened.

“So sorry dear but my heart belongs somewhere else”,Damon said as he bent his knee to meet my sorrowful gaze.

“Morever you are unworthy and unfit to be in my pack as you are not a wolf”,he added.

“I am calling off the wedding immediately”,I said with tears flowing down my cheeks and my mouth trembling as I spoke.

“I am OK with that because I have never loved you”,he added.

“Now get out of my room!”he barked as he pointed his arm toward the almost 8 foot tall door made of oak and covered with silk and ivory curtain.

I stood up from the floor wiping the tears off my face with my green opaque silk gown and gently left Damon’s master bedroom.

“Don’t forget to tell the Chief Cook to get me my breakfast”,he added whilst I was still on my way to the door.

I ignored his message as I felt my heart shredded into pieces.

I couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed as our wedding was supposed to take place in 3 days.I thought I had just witnessed my worst nightmare as I covered my face with my palms.

I walked slowly in the veranda leading to the courtroom of the palace.

As I went home to tell my parents that I am calling off the wedding, thoughts rang in my head as the pace of my heels increased drastically.

“So Damon never loved me all along and I was being led like a lamb to the slaughter by my parents”,I thought to myself as I became drowsed in self-awareness.

On reaching home,I opened the door and headed straight to my bedroom with tears drying up on my cheeks.

“Lucia….where are you going?”,my adoptive mom said as I stormed past the living room.

Moments later she joined me in the bedroom and inquired about my sober mood.

“What happened ...Why are you downcast?”,she asked with her face and feet pointing in my direction.

“I caught the Alpha having an affair with Shreda Darkpelt”,I said, raising up my hands and wiping the remaining tear from the edge of my eyes.

“I have decided to call off the wedding”,I added.

“No…you can’t”,she said pointing her index finger at me while turning her head sideways back and forth

“Yes ....I can”,I said, cutting her off. “His heart belongs to another, Mum. He himself confessed to me right there that he never loved me”,I added.

After I was abandoned in the Grimfang pack forest by my biological parents when I was still a toddler, I was adopted into the Silverveil family where I grew up learning about the customs of the pack since my foster parents were part of the elders council.

As I reached my early twenties,I was betrothed to Alpha Damon who had masterminded his way to becoming the Alpha of the pack through various alliances including support from my foster parents.

As a result an arranged marriage was made between me and the Alpha to remain in his favour within the pack.

“Mum..,we need to talk”,I said as I stood up from my 3 foot tall bed and wore my slipper.

My step-mum and I quickly descended from the stairs to the living room waiting for my step-dad to return home.

He arrived 10 minutes after 6pm and met us in the living room.

“Good evening,Dad”,I greeted standing up on my feet and meeting his gaze.

“What’s the matter everyone……”,he asked with a bit of suspicion in his eyes as he sat down on the blue sofa which adorned the space of our living room.

“Dad… we need to talk.I can’t marry Alpha Damon”,I said as tears began to flow from my eyes and my body temperature began to rise.

“Why..?”,he asked with a confused look on his face

“But the wedding is in 3 days and we had invited our friends and well-wishers”,he added.

“I caught him cheating on me with Shreda Darkpelt,one of the court ladies and he even confessed with his own mouth that he never loved me”,I muttered wiping the tears off my cheeks.

“Hmm…In that case we have no choice but to inform all of our well-wishers that the wedding no longer holds but how?”,he said with a deep sigh as his eyebrows collided together.
