Chapter 1
Amelia's POV
"Sold? What do you mean you sold me?" I asked, staring at my parents with disbelief. I placed my hand on my hips and glared at them with my light to almost silver eyes and flipped my wavy red hair over my shoulder.
They stared at me. Their eyes locked onto my angered expression. Their faces read despair but I know it was not to be true. They always played with my emotions and always lied directly in my face even when I knew the truth. So I am waiting for this lie to just be one simple lie so that I may leave into the room they have given to me.
"Amelia, do not be angry with us. It is just a casual contract that needs to be done." My so-called father said to me as he gripped his wife's hand.
"So as a business deal, you sold your only daughter to the master of the estate that sits on the hill near the forest. That is very quite noble of you. Why couldn't you have sold the company and gained money from that?"
"Sold the company?!" My stepmother stepped forward to me and dared got into my face. I stood to her height and challenged the glare she gave to me.
"You think we would sell the company that we worked so hard on building from the ground up just because we didn't want to sell you? Someone who is literally-"
"Literally what? You aren't even my mother. So step away from me you f*****g money seeking woman. I bet the money the company gets from my FATHERS work will benefit you nicely. Or better yet let's get back to the fact my FATHER thought it was a good f*****g idea to sell his one and only daughter. Whose idea was it?" I pointed back and forth between the both of them and then I looked to my father who looked over to the wife.
"Oh, so your ugly ass suggested that my weak man of a father sell his one and only daughter?! And then your pathetic ass actually listened to the stupid b***h?!"
"Watch your mouth Amelia!" My father said as he motioned for me.
"Make me! You know whats funny.... mom died.... and then you married this f*****g slut and you became her little... BI-!"
My father held up his hand and slapped me across the face. I felt the stinging and dared not raise a hand to him. It wasn't because I was weak but I promised my mother... I would speak with my mouth... never my hands unless I needed to self defend myself... which would be the case right now. But do I dare raise my hand to him?
I was struck out of my thoughts when I heard a muscular and husky voice sound behind me.
"You dare hit the girl we have bought?"
I turned to see him. Dark brown eyes, his black hair was cut short and some of his hand was dangled in front of his right eye. I stared at him as his eyes were locked on my body, scanning me up and down. His eyes then turned to my parents and his glare grew much angrier than before.
"I told you... I did not want her harmed if she is to be coming with me." He said with his hands slowly sliding into his front, ironed pressed pants. Fancy outfit for him. Black suit pants with the a large trench coat over his shoulders. I stared at his black suit jacket and looked at the cotton, button up, ironed shirt that he wore. When I mean this man was dressed to impress... this man was dressed to impress.
"My lord... forgive me... I lost my temper with her. Her mother and I were-"
"That woman is not my mother. Do not even put mother and her next to each other in the same f*****g sentence." I turned and said to him. He glared at me and once again I was challenging their glares.
"Amelia, watch your tone. I will not say this again," my father said, trying to stay as calm as possible. I was not going to give him the satisfaction of just quietly going. I have been working way too hard in my life in order to just be taken away from it with a snap of money being thrown into their faces.
"First off... FATHER... f**k you. I hate you and that ugly ass woman by your side who can rot somewhere. As for the dude behind me... I am not going. I refuse to go and NONE OF YOU IN THIS HOUSE CAN FORCE ME."
"Amelia!" My father's wife called stepping to me but keeping her eyes on the man behind me.
"Leave me alone! I hate you, I especially hate you!" I said pointing toward his wife then I turned and sighed. "Move out my f*****g way." I said angrily pushing past them. I stormed off to the steps, listening to them both shouting for me to return to them.
I couldn't believe this. He sold me to someone who I do not know all because his "innocent wife" told him too. He was f*****g weak. Weak and twirled around her finger. It was f*****g sickening and at this point, I was over the bullshit in this house.
Antonio's POV
I walked into the house in time for my prized possession to be slapped across the face by the man called her father. I held back my anger but I know the deal was to not have her harmed and she would come to me with no problems. However, the scene I just walked into along with my right hand man Maurice, even though he knew I was about to get upset.
"You dare hit the girl we have bought?" I said, anger residing in my voice. I looked down to the little heightened girl that had to be a few inches shorter than me and her red hair flowed nicely as her light blue eyes that almost looked silver locked eyes with me.
It held so much anger, with a hint of sadness. I could tell they just broke the news to her that her life was basically mine now. The thought of it must have struck a nerve for her to become feisty and more... expressional than what I was told of.
"I told you... I did not want her to be harmed if she was to come with me." I slowly inserted my hands into my suit pants pocket and continued to listen to the excuse that left this man's mouth.
"My lord... forgive me... I lost my temper with her. Her mother and I were-"
"That woman is not my mother. Do not even put mother and her next to each other in the same f*****g sentence."
I listened to her, anger clearly in her voice. I looked at the woman that stood close to the male before the girl and watched her constantly stare me up and down. If she wasn't the child's mother, then who exactly was she? I didn't feel like getting into the family drama but just wanted what I came here for. I was starting to get impatient with it all.
I watched as she pushed past the two and then glared at the man before me. His eyes struck fear but it did not phase me one bit. I took my hands out of my pockets and placed them by my sides.
"My lord... Please forgive me for this little incident. It truly should not be happening right now."
"You have... five minutes to fix this. I came here to collect-"
"Of course you did my Lord." The woman now spoke up as she two step closer to me. She placed her hands on my chest and I looked down at her, raising my eyebrow with a look of disgust.
"My Lord... her father will fix this situation and of course you will receive what you have come here for. Shall I offer you tea and something to nibble on in the time that you wait?" She turned and looked at her husband and he took off after the girl. I looked back to the woman before me and turned to Maurice. He knew the look I was giving him and only nodded his head once.
We stood there, waiting as time was moving on. The child's.. whoever kept trying to please me by bringing me drinks, snacks, and even a meal that came from the microwave. I kept ignoring her and kept my eyes glued on the stairs that led upstairs.
I looked up to the ceiling as I was hearing shouting from the girl and a door slamming behind her screams. I started to slowly walk to the steps and found myself on the second floor where her father was standing in front of a locked door. He kept knocking on it but with no luck, he was not let into the room. He turned once he noticed I was standing behind him and jumped, slamming his back on the door.
"My lord-" I swiped my hand making him move to the right and walked up to the door. I knocked three times and waited for a reply. When I didn't get one, I knocked more times and listened to the scuffling sounds behind the door. I listened to the footsteps and then looked at the jiggling knob. The door swung open and now she was angrily standing before me.
"What the hell do you want?" she asked and then crossed her arms over her chest.
"Let's go. You are now mines and-
"Listen... I don't know what the weak ass piece of s**t told you, but I do not belong to you. What they did, has nothing to do with me. So excuse yourself from my room, from my face and deal with that thing behind you." She went to close the door and I stepped my foot in front of it and allowed the door to hit my foot. When she noticed the door didn't slam, she turned and faced me. Her anger rose further than what it was before.
"Move your foot." She demanded and locked eyes with me. Neither of us blinked once and then she grew more annoyed with my presence being in front of her.
"Are you f*****g deaf?" She questioned, now opening the door wider. I walked into her room and I watched her back up to her bed. Then she stood her ground in the center of the room and watched me get closer to her.
"Listen, I don't care about the family drama you people are having, but I paid a lot of money to have you and now that I am here... I am here to collect. Let's go and do not make me say it twice."
"Get the f**k out of my room." She spoke to me and I raised my eyebrow at her. She stood her ground and crossed her arms over her chest then placed her weight specifically on her right leg.
"I shall not say it again. Get your stuff and let's go."
"If I don't... which I won't either." She said and I grew very annoyed with her behavior. I lifted up my wrist and placed the watch near my mouth.
"Maurice... assistance please."
I turned back to the girl who was now on the bed. She had her phone in her hand and was not paying attention to the fact I was still in the room. She was humming with now putting earphones into her ears to block me out completely. I turned to the door to see Maurice walking in. I didn't care about her possessions since she would not need any of it after today.
Maurice grabbed her arm, surprising her out of her music land and flung her over his shoulder. She kicked and screamed with all of her might and even bit down on his shoulder. It didn't work. Maurice was the strongest right hand man I have and what is even better, he doesn't feel pain. Her reckless beating on him was a waste of her time and a waste of her breath.
She continued to beat on his back and kick her legs while Maurice headed out of the house. I turned to see the father and the lady standing behind me.
"Since the agreement was that she would be ready for me to take with no problems, I would not charge a fee.. but it seems that was not the case and there was a problem. The fee for this is $15,000. I expect it by the end of this week. We shall never be seeing you... again."
"Wait my lord-"
"Wait, wait!" The lady shouted as they both came rushing to me.
"My lord, it would be impossible to get that kind of money in a matter of days." The father said with a nervous tone in his voice. " I cannot get that money by the end of the week. I-In a month or two... th-then I could have that money and be gladly to give it-"
"I said by the end of the week. This matter is closed." I turned my back to them and started walking out of the door.
"Should I not get my money... I will track you down...." With that... I left the house and closed the door behind me.
She was still fighting to get Maurice to let go of her. I smirked and watched with amusement. Maurice looked at me to see me enjoying the view and he rolled his eyes and used his free hand to point to the car. I nodded my head and climbed into the passenger seat. He forced the girl into the pack seat and she continued to wrestle against him. When she was next to me, she looked at me and then glared angrily. Before Maurice could get into the car, she turned her back to me and kicked Maurice. He quickly grabbed both of her ankles and gripped them with a tight grip to cause a bruise. She winced in pain and then whimpered while biting her bottom lip.
I held up my hand and Maurice released her. She grabbed her ankles and rubbed them to soothe the pain. Maurice climbed into the SUV and sat down fixing his clothes. We headed off to the mansion.
