Chapter 6“Max? Dinner is ready.” Tai watched as Max started to wiggle his way back out of the hatch, which he was up to his waist in, working on the wiring that led to the lock on the door into Li’s quarters. He should have moved away, because as Max backed out, he bumped into Tai, who muttered an apology and moved away. Perhaps he shouldn’t have been so preoccupied with watching Max’s ass as he backed out of the hatch. Max got his head out of the hatch, straightened up and tried to flatten down his hair, which had been disarranged by squeezing into the tight space. He tossed tools back into the tool box and followed Tai into the passenger lounge. This compartment had become their rec room and mess deck combined. They’d discovered that the seats could be removed and had taken two of them
