CHAPTER Margot set down her cell phone and stared at her friend. “I’d know my baby anywhere,” she told Sandy. “They’ve found her.” She felt strange saying the words. Empty. There was no textbook to tell her how mothers should react in this sort of situation. Was she supposed to feel ecstatic and grateful? Her daughter is alive.
