Chapter 3.The bosses

Forest POV

When I get the call I immediately talk to the lawyer of my best friends Ex wife and tell him court is cancelled do to the judge being unwell and unable to continue but the hearing will be postponed until further notice I then walk out of the courtroom but I stop when I see my boss and who I am assuming is Violets boss walking and talking side by side.I do not want to interrupt them however my boss needs to know what's going on.I walk up to them and clear my throat to get there attention."Excuse me but the court hearing that was scheduled for about half an hour ago had to be cancelled as the judge became suddenly ill and her brother my client went to attend to her" I say clearly and they both freeze.The second guy whom I have never met before began to speak."My name is Ace stetson and I am Judge Violets boss and I am confused as to why she never phoned me to tell me that she was going to need the rest of the day off."he responds."After she got physically sick she broke down crying for reasons only herself and her brother know and her brother comforted her and eventually she fell asleep.her brother did not want to wake her knowing she needed the rest so he phoned me to ask me to get this hearing postponed sir."I say honestly."Ok her brother did the right thing letting her rest also she has never used a sick day in her entire career so she won’t lose any money over this" Ace says thoughtfully.Your best friend is calling your best friends is calling my phone rings and I answer it immediately knowing its Asher.But what I hear has me going deathly pale once he hangs up I put my phone in my pocket and explain everything Asher just said to my boss and Violets boss.They are both very angry and dismiss me to go get the divorce papers drawn up well they figure out a way to make this go through without the bastard having to sign anything because we all know he won’t agree with this and to make sure Violet doesn't lose anything and he loses everything in this divorce.

Violet POV

Once I have calmed down again and feel like I have wrapped my head around the fact that I am pregnant I call my obgyn and best friend Charlotte Ross and tell her everything and by the time I am finished she is fuming and tells me to come in immediately as she has a opening in her schedule and wants to make sure that I am ok."Asher" I yell and he comes running."Yes sis" he responds."Charlotte says she has an opening and can see me now so can you take me please?I ask him.Sure let me find a shirt and get my keys then we can go". it isn't until that moment I realise he isn't wearing a shirt."Why aren't you wearing a shirt?"I ask him."You soaked my shirt with tears and then fell asleep on me so I was unable to change it earlier" he responds sheepishly."Oh ok" I blush embarrassed by my break downs today.He comes around and embraces me in his muscled arms and says "sis there is no reason for you to be embarrassed by your break downs honestly I am just glad you were able to get it all out instead of keeping it all bottled in until you break like you did when we were younger" he says."Go get your shirt on well I call mom and dad they need to know what's going on" I say.
