Dulara, India
It was already midnight but the sky was still bright not due to the sun but, it was due to the incessant lightning bolts that kept flashing, tearing the sky apart. The sky was in this condition since sunset, however not a single drop of rain fell yet. All of a sudden a very strong and fast lightning bolt came crashing down at the tallest tree in town which stood tall near the temple, another strike came setting the tree ablaze. Covered in flames yet the tree wasn’t burning, rather it was growing new leaves as if the flames was nothing but food to it. All of a sudden the sky roared and all the lightning in the sky convergedinto one single lightning as if making a final strike. But this time it didn’t attack the tree, rather it attacked the royal palace.
“Swoosh….Boom” it crashed directly at the queen’s chambers.
This unusual phenomena only meant one thing, a miracle was about to happen or more, someone fated to make history was about to be born.
Meanwhile, on top of the bed laid the Queen, sleeping peacefully in her white light cotton salwar kameez with a scarf over it when a sudden pain hit her lower abdomen. She wailed in pain before letting out a loud scream so loud that her most trusted maid Aabida rushed in scared.
They maid stood up horrified at the sight of the queen surrounded by small arcs of electricity. Confused as to whether something was wrong with the Queen, she went a little bit closer to the bed, but then the queen went back to normal. With a scream she went into a state of labor.
She held onto her short pink skirt, holding her head tie so that it wouldn't fall she ran outside through the long corridors, that has a table by the sides with vases full of fresh roses and water in it.
The warrior guard was dressed in his deer armor equipped with a bow and arrow. He withdrew his sword immediately he saw Aabida running, He was very sure something must be wrong.
"What's happening Aabida? is everything alright?" He asked alarmed to see her running in the middle of the night.
“Yes but not the kind that needs your help.” She informed him about the labor and she proceeded to tell the Royal households.
About ten minutes later, the whole palace already heard the news, and soon it spread around the kingdom like wildfire.
The old midwife who usually helps the queen duringher times of labor arrived as fast as she could after hearing the news.
The palace was noisy, tension all over the place. The well wishers, the pretenders and others were present as the queen was put to birth.
The king himself was waiting patiently, as he hoped the heir to his throne was about to be born. He was wearing a gold dhoti that has a pinch of green on it.
The whole people in the kingdom were awaiting the news, they too hoping the queen give an heir to their beloved king.
As it is the queen has already given birth to three beautiful daughters, but they were regarded as a burden according to the 'Queen Mother.'
The queen mother was always pressing on the neck of the queen to give birth to a prince who will be able to rule the kingdom, she would have gotten of the queen by now if not for the king. He was the onewho always saves the queen from his mother's wrath.
For the last 2 years the Queen mother was always insulting Queen Lika.
"If you are not able to give birth to a son, your daughters will be married off at a young age." she even threatened.
Queen Lika was so helpless. She always visited the Mundeshwari Devi Temple to worship. She offers water, fruits, flowers and incense to Lord Shiva and Shakti.
During the night time was is the only time she gets peace, with husband is around or when she's asleep.
Presently, on top of a couch made from a mahogany tree, stuffed into coarse ticks and covered with silk mainly for royalties, was the queen sitting on top of it sweating profusely, breathing in and out.
"Ahhhhhhhh" the scream of the queen could be heard by everyone around the room, as she was into a very painful labor.
Up to forty people were present in the royal bedchamber surrounding the queen waiting patiently for her to give birth. All of them eager to see what the queen will give birth to this time, she is of royal bloodline too.
She hails from a kingdom across the land called Burji. She was a happy child who lived her life to the fullest before she was married off to the king.
She once had dreams that couldn't be fulfilled with her current duty as a Wife, Mother and Queen.
About an hour later the Queen gave birth to a baby girl, disappointment painted the faces of all the women present black. But then as soon as the baby was born the chaotic sky went calm and rain poured like never before.
They all waited for the baby to start crying but, the baby made no noise nor did she move. Most of the people in the room thought the baby was dead. But the elderly woman seated next to the queen rubbing her hair knew that, the baby was still alive.
She then carried the baby and started s******g her but nothing happened, rather the eyes of the babywere wide open, staring directly into her mother’s eyes.
Suddenly, an eagle entered through the open brown window flying towards the baby at the speed of light. It rested it’s talons on the baby's tummy making her to giggle at the eagle, shocking everyone present.
Who wouldn't be shocked, when this was the first time something like this happened in the history of Dulara, India.
