GAEL RETURNS
Gael ran to the stairs but a thought struck him. "How on earth would you run to the seventeenth floor without getting caught?" He sprinted to the elevator, glancing behind him as his fans, numbering over twenty, overpowered the security guards and stormed into the company. Gael quickly assessed the situation and decided to use the elevator that descended to the last floor rather than the one going up. As he reached the seventeenth floor, Gael stepped out of the elevator and collided with a woman causing her to spill coffee all over the files she was holding. "Watch where you're going! You're so clumsy!" He snapped at her and turned to make a hasty exit. However, he felt something hot dripping down his face and... "Ah!" He helped in horror. Turning to the woman, he saw her standing in the elevator doorway, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "You just emptied the rest of the coffee on my head and you're not remorseful," he demanded, his anger rising. The woman shrugged and said "Oops! You should have been more careful. You're too clumsy." She stepped into the elevator and Gael stared at her in anger till she disappeared from his sight. Gael Martinez would have chased after her but he was desperate to evade his fans who were relentless in their pursuit of autographs and photos. He scoffed and rushed to the hallway, heading straight for his mother's office. He burst into the office and locked the door behind him, taking a moment to catch his breath. Mrs Martinez, his mother looked up from her desk, concern etched on her face. "What happened to your hair, son?" She asked, her eyes widened in surprise. "That stupid careless woman...oh god... she's very fortunate I was in a haste else... Clumsy cow!" He scoffed. "Hey! I hope it's not one of my staff you're calling 'clumsy cow'?" "I don't care. I hate her. Does she know how much it took me to make this hair look good? How could she empty a hot coffee on my head?" Mrs Martinez gasped "Hot coffee? Baby, you'd loose your hair overnight." She said, trying to make Gael scared. It worked! "What?! Oh, no! My hair? Will I become bald like dad? I'm scared, mom. I don't want to lose my hair. I'll kill that woman." Gael yelled, clenching his jaws. Mrs Martinez chuckled. "I'm serious. I'll kill her." "Go ahead but not in my company." "Yeah, sure. I'll call my partner in crime." "Who?" "Javier of course." "Whatever." Gael pulled out his phone from his breast pockets and dialled Javier's contact number. "Hello." A voice sounded when the call got connected. "Dude? Did you catch a cold or something? Your voice is wierd." "No." "Were you crying? I'm kidding 'cause Javier Lopez doesn't cry." "I don't." Gael heard a silent sniff and raised his brows. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine." "I heard you sniffing." "Are you sure you don't want to meet with your doctor? You're hearing things." "Shut up! You know I got back yesterday and you didn't bother to call, huh?" "You should have called me." "I should have? Gosh, Javier? Whatever. You're treating me to a meal at noon today." "Do you prefer your foreign meal or your country's meal?" "I'll prefer a Spanish meal. Tortilla Espanola is okay." "Alright. I'll make a reservation at the best Spanish restaurant and send you the address." "And don't forget..." Javier hung up before Gael completed his statement. "What is wrong with him?" Gael asked, concern etched on his face. "What?" Mrs Martinez asked. "He didn't sound like a friend happy for his friend's arrival." "You of all people should know Javier. He isn't the type to jubilate at your arrival." "I know but Javier would have sounded happy not like someone mourning, you know." "Well, you'll see him at noon. You should talk to him." "It's like he changed. For the past few months, every call I had with Javier didn't sound like the Javier I know." "Oh!" "Whatever. I'll talk to him." "Um... Gael? Do you...um... have a girlfriend?" Mrs Martinez asked. "No. Missy and I broke up and I ended things with other women because of you know... women have lots of problem." "Lots of problem? Are you saying, I, your mother has lots of problem?" "Well, yes. You do have lots of problem sometimes...I mean... most times." "Wow! You dare to say that to my face. Did you end things with the women or they ended things with you?" She raised her brows at him. Gael looked away afraid his mother might pull out the truth from him if he kept staring into her face. "Do not worry too much. I know the perfect fit for you." "I'm not interested." "Baby, she's beautiful." "Stop calling me, baby. For chrissakes, mom! I'm a full grown adult." "Okay, fine. I'll take you round the company and introduce you two." "No." "She's dedicated to her work and is a very sweet lady." "No." "You'll like her." "Noooo!" (Preview of the next episode: "What do you want from me?" Denise turned to him and yelled. "I want you to admit being my mother!")
