As soon as the plane landed in Japan, I got into the car and asked the driver to take me straight to the hospital. On my way there, I texted Olivia to let her know that I had arrived safely.
I couldn’t wait to see my daughter and give her a big hug. I shouldn’t have been away from her for so long. I kept my fingers crossed, hoping it wasn’t something so serious.
My mother sounded like it was an emergency.
The ride felt like it lasted for an eternity. I let out a relieved sigh as we finally reached the hospital. I hated the smell of the air in the hospital.
I hadn’t been there in a while, I didn’t want to be there.
As I got there, the receptionist recognized me immediately and asked someone to take me to the room where my daughter was being treated.
