“She still hasn’t signed the papers?” Sophia asked with a disappointed expression registered on her face. “We have already made our proposal public and you still aren’t divorced.”
Sophia had been pressuring me to complete the divorce process for a while now. But Layla had been refusing to sign the divorce papers.
By the time I came back downstairs with a new set of papers, she had already left the house. Everything was so frustrating. After all my attempts to get rid of her, she still wasn’t ready to give up on me.
“Lucas, I don’t feel comfortable. You have to cut all ties with her as soon as possible.” Sophia added when I remained silent.
