After Olivia came to meet me on the road, I asked her to accompany me to my foster parent’s house. Those people didn’t care about me either, but I just wanted to see if they would be willing to accommodate me for a little while.
“Are you sure it’s a good idea to go back there?” Olivia asked as I drove over to their residence. “You know how they can be.”
I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t even know, I just don’t have anywhere else to go,” I replied, running my fingers through my scattered hair.
