Chapter Two

2656 Words
I woke up to the sound of loud talking coming from the kitchen. I groaned throwing a pillow at my door as I threw my blanket off my body. Can a women ever sleep in peace, I said annoyed from the racket. I got up and walked towards the door throwing it open as I made my way to the kitchen.  Kaitlyn was standing in front of the bench while Devin sat in one of the stools in front of her. "He drives me insane! I cant even deal with his bullshit right now," exclaimed Kaitlyn as she waved her arms everywhere emphasising her point to Devin.  "Babe he just doesnt see it the way I do. Anyway it doesnt matter what he says Im getting married to you anyway." "Whats going on? I can't get my beauty sleep if the two of you are yelling like you're the only ones who live in this apartment," Jess said sleepily as she walked out of her room.  I walked over to the couple taking a seat next to Devin as Kaitlyn gave me a cuppa. "Well his asshole friend is a judgemental little s**t," she growled as she poured some coffee for Jess.  "Ohhh do tell," Jess said as she held her mug Kaitlyn gave her in her hands with a gleam in her eyes ready for new gossip.  I swear that girl lives for drama. "Its just his best friend. He doesn't want Devin to marry me. He think's I'm marrying him for his money because Im a cheap f*****g slut," she growled as she said the words of her fiancés best friend. 'Well that's unfortunate. He will be walking down the isle with one of these so called cheap f*****g slut's since he will obviously be in the line." Jess said as she sipped her drink.  "These judgemental little fuckers get me all the time. Lucky this guy loved you enough to stay with you after he found out what you did for a living," I said nudging Devins shoulder playfully as he rolled his eyes. "He just needed the little push to realise how special you were," Jess teased as she made kissy faces at him and Kat. "Little push my ass, you practically beat me into realising how much Kaitlyn meant to me," he said astonished. "We did not. You were being a p***y so we needed you to get your head out of your ass," she defended. "Anywaywhat time do we leave?" Devin looked down at his watch before he cursed and got up grabbing Kaitlyns hand before dragging her towards the front door.  "Grace, Jess just come down when your changed. Were testing food and wine with my boys. I will text you the address." "Righteo captain," Jess said with a mock salute in his direction.  "Bye girls!" Kaitlyn called as she was practically dragged out of the house. "And here I was thinking we woke up early," I laughed as I looked at the time to see it was 10am. I left my hair down in its natural waves before putting on some light make up and slipping into a red dress that stopped mid thigh. I knew this was going to be formal so I didnt really go for a casual look. "Grace, I will be in the car. You can drive," Jess called out before I heard the front door open and close.  I looked over my appearance one more time before nodding in approval as I walked out with the keys and my phone in hand.  As soon as we made it to the address Devin had sent me, I looked at the building in front of us with a frown. 'Boston," Jess read out as she got out of the car.  "Are we at the right place?" I questioned as we stopped in front of a building that looked a lot like a strip joint.  I got out my phone and dialled Devins number waiting patiently for him to pick up as I studied the sign with the girl sliding down a pole with lights flashing on what was supposed to be her t**s. Dont get me wrong the place looked fancy but not the place I imagined to be testing wine. "Grace," Devin answered on the third ring. "Were here but Im not sure were in the right area," I said confused.  I could almost see him cringe by the silence on the other line before he spoke again.  "I didnt plan this, it was actually Mikhail. He was sorting this s**t out so if your standing in front of a strip club then your in the right place." My anger boiled at the thought of this punk. He was trying to make a statement to Kaitlyn. He was being a f*****g asshole trying to make Devin see that this is the type of girl he would be marrying. I was beyond furious. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Devins voice again.  "Grace?" I shook my head looking at Jess before I sighed heavily.  "We will be right in," I said sweetly before I disconnected the call and linked my arm with Jess. "I'm going to destroy the fucker," I growled as we walked through the entrance. As soon as we walked in I ignored the looks we received from random men and scanned the area for a certain brunette.  As soon as I spotted them I walked towards the group with Jess by my side. "Kaitlyn," I said as I walked towards them. She turned towards us and signed in relief before making her way towards us. "I hate him with my life," she said fiercely when she reached us. Before we could say anything a voice interrupted us. "Ah you must be Grace and Jessica. Beautiful as I imagined" We both looked towards the voice and saw it was a man with brown hair and green eyes who held a cheeky smile on his face. He was good looking I admit but I narrowed my eyes on him wondering if he was the one giving my girl crap. "Grace," I said as I crossed my arms "Whats your name?" "Sean. Im Devins Brother but unfortunately my brother favors his best friend to be the best man," he teased. I rolled my eyes as I scoffed. "And Im assuming this best friend of his is Mikhail? He has a lot of nerve holding the tastings here," I said in irritation as Jessica held her resting b***h face in place. Sean scratched the back of his head with a nervous chuckle as he studied our surroundings. "I have no idea what was going through his head when we ended up here." "Well I guess I have a fair idea," Kaitlyn snapped before she sighed as Devin wrapped his arms around her waist. "Sorry Sean. Its not your fault, its..." "Am I safe to believe you were going to say my name." We all turned towards the culprit as I frowned when the voice I heard was familiar. My eyes widened in surprise when I saw the last person I expected to see here. "Brent?" "Mikhail not now," Devin said with a sigh. I frowned at Devin before I chuckled shaking my head at his obvious mistake.  "No no no your mistaken. That's Brent," I said gesturing to his still form as he stared at me. "Angel?" he said in shock as he stared at me before he composed himself. He was as handsome as always but he could do without the smirk that littered his face. Devin raised a brow as Kaitlyn gasped. She walked up to me and placed her hands on my shoulders gesturing to Brent. "Babe thats Mikhail the asshole I was talking about," she said as she studied my gaze ignoring the fact that he was right behind her. Wait a minute, is she saying that Brent is... "Holy s**t that's Brent your regular?!" Jess shouted in shock snapping me out of my thoughts. "You're the fucker thats been a judgemental little s**t?" I said with disbelief as I met the gaze of the man who's bed I vacated just yesterday. He would be a f*****g hypocrite since hes been sleeping with me and I do the same thing Kaitlyn does. He knows what I do for a living since he was my client so why the f**k did he hit Kat down for it. "A word Angel," he said lowly before grabbing my arm and dragging me away from the group.  I let him take me where ever the hell he wanted since I planned to have words with the judgemental buffoon. He pulled me towards a dark hallway and opened one of the rooms before pulling me in and closing the door after himself. "What the f**k are you doing here," he demanded as soon as we stepped foot inside the room.  He paced in front of me running his hands through his hair as he growled in frustration. I glared at him as I crossed my arms as some sort of barrier towards him. "I could say the same for you Brent," I spat before I realised something. "Or should I even call you that," I said angered by thinking his real name was Brent. And dont ask me why Im angry about his name because not even I know.  "Don't tell me your one of Kaitlyn's friends. She is a fucking..." "Dont be so quick to judge since you f*****g slept with me knowing what I do for a living. So by all means keep your opinion of my best friend to yourself, because at the moment its not f*****g wanted." "Shes not right for Devin. He deserves better and Kaitlyn is not better. Shes a f*****g slut who cant keep her legs closed for money. Wheres her f*****g self respect," he seethed. I ignored the hurt I felt at his words and masked it with Anger. I felt insulted he thought of us that way. Its not that we dont have self respect its just our job.  I stepped closer not feeling intimidated as he loomed over me with a stern expression on his face. I poked his chest with every word as I snapped at him.  "That's real f*****g cheap coming from you Brent. Or Mikhail or whatever the f**k your name is. And before you want to go calling my girl a slut, think again before I uppercut your ass." I spun on my heel storming towards the door before I stopped in my tracks and faced the bastard again. "And sorry to say but not all of us grow up being a heir into a business born into privilege. Some of us actually have to fight tooth and nail to be able to live normally in this f****d up world. So think again before judging so harshly about what we do for a living. And think about why we do it." I heard him call out to me as I stormed out of the room and made my way straight to the bar.  "Hit me with shots and keep them coming till I say stop," I called to the bartender as I sat down on a stool with my head in my hands. "Angel" "And put it on his tab," I said ignoring the asshole as I gestured to his form that stood beside me as his elbow rested on the bench next to me. I noticed the bartender look at Mikhail for permission to put it on his tab and was surprised when he nodded his head in confirmation. "Grace are you ok?" I looked over my shoulder noticing Kaitlyn and Jess with the boys as they stared at me in concern. "Oh s**t sorry this was supposed to be your taster day," I said as I got off the stool and walked over to the group feeling Mikhails presence following behind. "It's ok I was thinking of rescheduling anyway since I very much prefer to choose the location," she said as she looked towards the stage where the showgirls began to dance. "Whoever's genius idea to throw a taster at a strip club is a bloody i***t," I said with a glare in Mikhails direction.  He merely shrugged while stuffing his hands in his pockets as he acted as if I wasnt burning holes in the side of his head.  "Well we're going to head off. Are youse coming?" asked Kat as she linked her arm with Devins. I shook my head and pecked her cheek.  "You go. I already ordered some shots and I plan on drinking them." "Ohhh count me in," squealed Jess as she ran up to the bar.  "I'm gonna stay too since I have nothing else to do today," Sean said with a shrug.  "Mikhail?" Devin asked wondering if he was going to stay. I rolled my eyes when he looked at me and walked towards the bar with Sean not caring about his answer. "So whats the deal with you and Greyson?" I raised a brow as I took a seat next to Jess while Sean took the other seat beside me. "Whos Greyson?" "Mikhail. I usually call him by his last name." "Oh sure," I said with a bored expression as I faced the bar tender when he placed five shot glasses in front of me. I downed each glass straight after the other before slamming the last glass down on the bench gesturing for the bar tender. "More please." "Want some?" I asked Sean as the bartender refilled the cups. He shook his head before gesturing to his full glass of corona. I looked towards Jess to see her drinking a raspberry flavoured cruiser while she flirted with the guy that sat on the other side of her. I chuckled before reaching for my shots.  I downed them just like the other five and was about to demand some more when a hand wrapped around my own that held onto the empty shot glass. "Enough," Mikhail demanded as he took the shot glass out of my hand. I scoffed ignoring him as I opened my mouth to call for the bartender before my chair was suddenly spun around and I ended up facing him. I placed a hand on my head to stop the spinning and glared at him as he stood between my legs.  "Mikhail..." "I mean it Angel. Stop the drinks before I throw you over my shoulder and take you out of here. Its only noon for gods sake," he said in a serious tone cutting me off.  "I don't have to listen to you," I grumbled about to turn myself around before I was suddenly seeing everything upside down.  My hand flew to my mouth as if I was going to puke from Mikhails shoulder digging into my stomach as he carried me on his shoulders. "Mikhail put me down," I demanded when I managed to tame the feeling in my stomach. "I warned you Angel and you didn't listen so now Im taking you out myself." I growled in annoyance then gasped when I felt a slap on my ass. "Stop touching my ass," I said through gritted teeth as he recieved wolf whistles from the men that saw his slap.  "If you want me to stop touching your ass then stop being so stubborn," He said as if I was the one in the wrong.  I could almost hear the smirk in this arrogant bastards voice.  "Trust me when I say I am going to cut off your balls and shove it up your ass when I get off your pointy shoulders. You just wait till I get my hands on you," I warned as he carried me out of the strip joint laughing to himself.  This fucker is driving me to insanity.
