Chapter One

I pulled on my pants as I cast a look at the man who was fast asleep beside me. I never understood the pull I felt with him but I guessed it was because he was my regular. I shook my head as I grabbed the envelope on the side desk and gathered my clothes before leaving his room. I went through my contacts before finding the one I was after and hit call. "Hello?" said a groggy voice on the other side. I leaned my face towards my shoulder holding the phone in between as I pulled on my jacket. "Hey Jess can you pick me up? Just finished a job and left my car at the bar," I whispered as I slipped my shoes on and headed towards the front door. She yawned before I heard rustling on the other side. "Sure. Just text me the address." "On it," I said as I hung up and walked out of the house. I pocketed my phone as I closed my eyes to the chilling breeze. So f*****g peaceful when theres no one around to disturb the peace. I sighed heavily as I looked around the neighbourhood. The most expensive houses complimented by flash cars to suit. I shook my head at what people waste money on. Sure they want a house they want to be proud of since they work their asses off everyday but how often are they usually in the house. Their practically paying for houses that are only occupied by air. Im not trying to sound judgemental but considering the amount of times Ive been in this neighbour Ive realised most of the houses are hardly ever occupied. They come home at late hours then leave early hours in the morning? Only spending a good 5hrs in the house to just sleep in. Ridiculous if you ask me. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a car horn blasting through the night. I looked back at the house I came out of hoping that she didnt wake my client before bolting towards Jesss car. "Any louder and you would have woken the whole neighbourhood up," I said as I got into the passenger seat. She gave me a deadpanned look as she drove off. "You know as well as I do that hardly anyone vacates that neighbourhood unless its for a quick f**k before they leave for work or a power nap before the workaholics are out and at it again." I rolled my eyes watching the trees pass and we left the wealthy area to head back into the city. "How did it go with your client?" I asked as I slumped in my seat. She shrugged as she cast me a sideways glance. "He was great but he didnt really last long. How about you, how was Brent?" she said as if we were speaking about the weather. "He was...sloppy last night but only because he ended up drinking a bit too much when we got to his apartment. He was ranting off about someones wedding which kind of put a damper on things." She nodded her head before we were enveloped in comfortable silence as she drove. This has been our life ever since we left the orphanage. When Olivia took us in she introduced us to a whole new world. One where my fifteen year old self had to learn the life of an adult behind closed doors. One where we became a part of the Angels of Service. Since we were under the age of eighteen Olivia made sure to train us in the art of s*x. More of the theory side of things, like making bookings for clients, learning the meaning of safe s*x in all aspects and even writing up some of the girls profiles of their likes and dislikes. Which was a whole lot of cringe worthy s**t. When we had turned eighteen Olivia didnt hesitate to send us out to work. That is where she started training us in the physical side of things. She had us practice with the guys in our line of work before we were deemed ready for her clients. I dont hate Olivia for how she chose to raise us because even though she was a b***h during our training she was considerate in what we didnt want to do. At all times she made sure we were comfortable. Well as comfortable as you can get in this job. But I owe her a lot. She was the reason me and the girls actually made a living. It may not be the best job but it gets things done. "Whats gotten you all quiet?" Jess asked as she pulled into the park outside of our apartment complex. "Just the fact that soon Kaitlyn will be out of the Angels of service. It will be different without her working in the same place as us." She chuckled as we both got out of the car making our way to the apartment. "Well of course shes out. Devin would have never allowed her to keep working there. The possessive ass. I can still remember when he found out what she did for a living he went batshit crazy like it was the end of the world. Then he started looking at us different before we beat the judgemental s**t out of him," she said with a laugh. I laughed at the memory and shook my head as we walked in and slumped down on the couch. "It seems like it was just yesterday. And now our girl is getting married." "I feel like such a proud mother," Jessica said as she sighed happily laying flat on her back as she stared up at the ceiling. We basked in the silence of our apartment complex till the sound of a phone ringing caught our attention. I looked at my phone to see it was mine and answered it without thinking who it might have been. "Hello?" "Hey Angel, why did you leave?" I mentally groaned when I realised it was my client I left 30 minutes ago. "Who is it?" Jess mouthed as she watched me with interest with her chin in her hands. "Its Brent, I need to talk to Olivia and get my Clients changed," I said since I started to feel he was getting attached. I cant lie and say he wasnt a good f**k because he was a beast in bed. "It looks to me like your regular is smitten with you," she teased as she snickered. "Angel?" I sighed before placing the phone by my ear. "Brent, whats up?" "Well I was hoping to wake up next to you but surprisingly you left again," he said with his voice filled with sarcasm. Dont get me wrong Brent was a hunk but I couldnt have a relationship with my Clients. It was against the rules and plus I didnt need a boyfriend to boss me around and act all jealous from what I do for a living. I just do my job and get out. Thats all there is to it. "Brent for the hundred time I said we cant have any sort of relationship. Im sorry hun," I said softly. He sighed before I listened to rustling on the other end. "I like you Angel. And I know Im probably just one of your many clients but can you at least just let me take you out on a date?" he said gruffly. I could tell he was getting irritated which amused me. I snickered as I looked at Jess as she flicked her thumbs up with a grin. "Come on Angel just one date," he pressed. "Well aren't you persistent," I said with a chuckle. "Only in things I want." "Fine. One date Brent then thats it ok?" I said as I heard him chuckle on his end. "One is all it takes for you to fall in love with me," he teased. "Then your obviously doing something wrong because we've met more than once genius," I laughed. "Whatever, see you then Angel." I hummed in response before disconnecting the call. "He seems to fancy you. Your night sessions must be driving him crazy for you," teased Jess as I threw a pillow at her laughing form. "I cant help being good at something that comes natural to the human body," I said with an eyeroll. "For your information some people actually suck at s*x, hence the reason people tend to cheat on their other half," said Jess matter of factly. "Thats not the reason people cheat you dork. Where did you hear that bullshit from," I laughed. "Its not bullshit, its what Olivia told me. And I think shes right. If some people werent a bloody prude in s*x then their man wouldnt be seeking satisfaction somewhere else." "True. But what if their good at s*x but their other half's personality is total crap. They may be a s*x god but their nagging drives one to insanity." Before she could answer a voice was heard behind us. "Do I even want to know why you guys are debating on sex." We both looked towards the front door to see Kaitlyn and Devin walking in with take out. We both shrugged as Kaitlyn sat on Jessica's legs while Devin came and sat next to me moving my legs and placing them on his lap as he stuffed his mouth with food. "Just because you both work as s*x angels doesnt mean you have to talk about the topic when your out of work," Devin said over his food. I kicked him before sitting up and stretching as I moaned feeling my muscles stretch. "Ok well I'm tired so I will see you all tomorrow," I said as I hugged Devin and pecked Jess and Kaitlyn on the head. "Remember we have to meet Devin's boys tomorrow for the rehearsal dinner. Its only Mikhail and Sean so I'm sure you will be fine. Plus their easy on the eyes so who knows, you might finding yourself some fun," Kaitlyn said as she wiggled her brows. Devin groaned while she smirked. "Dont mind if I do," Jess said with a grin. I looked at Devin and cringed remembering his reaction towards Kaitlyn. "No I think I will just stick to my clients for fun because I do not need fun with a guy who may want more later on and with my line of work, I dont need the stress or judgement if they ever find out what I do for a living." "Your no fun. Just let loose," Jess complained. I only grinned to get them off my back. "Ive been having fun most my life," I said with a wink before walking towards my room. "I did not need to know that," Devin called as the girls laughed. I've never had s*x with a man who wasnt one of my clients or one of my co workers. Being with someone out of my scope will be an experience I dont think I want. I will be having s*x without the money. Whats the fun in that.
