Chapter 1
The echo of her father's voice still rang in Lilia’s ear as she tried to wipe her tears. Lilia felt miserable that her father married her off just like that, is there ever going to be a day she's ever going to make a decision herself? A knock snapped her out of her thoughts
“Who is it” Lilia asked
“The king” her father said..lilia opened the door
“What did you do to the Duke’s son” The king asked in a disgusted tone
“The Duke’s son…?”Lilia asked looking confused
“Yes the young man you hit if you were not the princess that could be treason” her father said
“ Well he deserved it he insulted mother” Lilia said crossing her hands on her chest
“Have you no shame as if embracing me at the ball was not enough you hit a MAN, A MAN “ her father yelled making Lilia take a setback
“ Father I said he insulted mother” Lilia said in disbelief
“You are going to apologize” her father stated
“No father you are not going to make me apologize to that Blustering i***t,” Lilia said and her father held her arm very tightly
“YOU ARE GOING TO RIDE A HORSE AND APOLOGISE TO THE DUKE’S SON FOR YOUR RECKLESS BEHAVIOUR IS THAT CLEAR ” her father said as he tightened his grip on her hand as he spoke every word. Lilia nodded her head in fear as her father let go of her hands and walked out of her bedchambers
Soft sunlight spilled through the tall walls of Princess Lilia's bedchambers, She rose before her maid arrived, drawing the curtains herself and breathing in the cool air. She dressed herself in silence, with haste she slid the gown over her shoulders, silk cool against her skin, the ribbons with hands steadier than she felt.
She ran to the eating chambers knowing her father would be there.
“Good morning father” Lilia said taking a bow, her father nodded, a servant handed her a scroll, and another servant came to her back with a basket full of fruit
“You hand them this and the fruit ball the carriage is waiting for you” The king said
“ I want to go alone, Father,” Lilia said
“ I don't care just make sure you apologize be home before dinner ” the king said and Lilia nooded
Lilia mouthed her horse with familiarity, skirts gathered and reins firmly in her hands. The ride steadied her thoughts. At the fork in the road, she didn't turn towards the city, she guided the horse left towards the only place where she feels alive. Lilia got off her horse and knocked on the door
“Hey you” Lilia said as the door opened
