The Party

It's been 2 days since that interview and I am still waiting for the results. I searched on each social media platforms to find Jack somewhere but I couldn't find his personal account. It seems like he is only having his official accounts everywhere. Aaah God I am so desperate to meet him again. There was some different kind of attachment I feel when I saw in his deep blue eyes. I never felt that way before, I don't know what was that but I can say that it was the best feeling in the world. That moment was so magical that I felt like I knew him for years.

"Get up Lisa, it's almost 11 in the morning." Mom said while entering in the my bedroom and interrupting my thoughts. Yea you can say that I am a bit lazy person. My day usually starts around 10:30 in the morning. My mom doesn't like it that much but now she's used to it. I got out of my blanket and sat on the bed. "Why, what happened mom?" I asked her while rubbing my eyes and yawning at the same time."I told you, Today we have to visit Matthews. They have their 30th wedding anniversary today and their son who is your childhood best friend is also going to come in that party." She said. My childhoods best friend 'Peter', Actually you can say Peter was my only best friend in my childhood. Everybody used to bully me when I was small. Peter was the only one who fights with everyone for me. He is 6 years older than me. He was friend of Johnson as they are of same age and was in a same school moreover his mother and my mother are best friends so do our fathers, So he used to come at my house to play with Johnson when I was small. But eventually me and him started playing so much and sharing even little little secrets with each and became bestest friends. After completing his schooling here he went to study further somewhere. I heard from mom that he came some days back as his studies are completed and he found a job in this town, So he is going to stay with his parents from now on.

I am so excited that I am going to see Peter after such a long time. "Yea I know that mom. I am also planning to make a nice welcome card for him" I said with excitement. "Oh! Welcome card..Nice.. But you never made such card for me till now. Is anything Special about Peter?" She teased me while tickling my stomach. "No!! Stop doing that. It's not like that.. It's just a welcome card mom nothing else." I almost screamed while laughing and pushing her hands away from me. "Okay, okay. But don't forget to get ready on time" she said before getting up and closing the door behind her.

I quickly took a shower and open my cupboard, took out one pink short with white t-shirt and wore it. I tied my hair in a messy bun. Yes now I am ready for making the card. I opened my drawer and took out some glitter pens with one shinny paper and some decorating material. I opened album of my childhood pictures to take out some pictures with Peter for the welcome card. There were so many pictures of mine when I was small with my mom and brothers. Suddenly one picture catched my attention, The tall fair handsome man with blond hair and brown eyes who were playing with me in one picture. Yes, It was my dad 'Mark'. We were so happy in that picture, I missed him a lot. Why that accident happened? Why he left us? Why do I get that dream almost every night if he died in that accident? I was talking to myself when suddenly one drop of tear fell down on my hand, No Lisa this is not the time to cry and think about all that, Mom is right that was just a dream so stop thinking about that and start making the card. I took out some of my pictures with Peter and closed the drawer. I fold the shinny paper into two parts so that it will look like a card and sticked those pictures on the one side with some decorating material and wrote 'Welcome back Peter!! I missed you a lot..I hope you missed me too and now that you are here I won't let you go anywhere again. Yours childhood little best friend Lisa.' I decorate that card a little by making some smily faces on it. Now it's perfect, I kept it on the table and looked at my watch. s**t I just have half hour to get ready.

I opened my cupboard and quickly took out one Yellow knee length shiny back less dress with white heels. I wore that and open my hair and curl them. I put on some makeup including Eye liner, Mascara, foundation, compact, light pink blush with shiny black and brown eye shadow to make smokey eyes with some light pink lipstick. Tadaa!! I got ready in time. So took my welcome card and went downstairs to see mom and my brothers.

"OMG! You are looking so pretty Lisa" Mom said while my both the brothers looked at each other and laugh to tease me. "Ignore them, They are just teasing you" mom said. "Yea, I know they are teasing me as always. Mom you are looking amazing." I said and hugged her. Mom was wearing white one piece and tied her her in a messy bun where as my both brothers were wearing suits. Mac was wearing creame and white suit and Johnson was wearing grey and white suit. I can admit that they both were looking good. "If you two are done then let's get into the car." Mac said while pointing towards the door. "Sure" Mom said and we got into the car. Mac was driving the car, Johnson was setting besides him and me and mom were sitting in on the back seat. Soon we reached at the Peter's place. And went inside his house.

His house is not that small at least bigger than mine. Me my mom and Peter entered the house with one large bouquet of rose and Lilly which Peter brought from the bouquet shop near our house. "Welcome Mrs. Clair, It's nice to see you!" Peters mom Samantha said while greeting my mom. "Nice to meet you too Samantha. Wish you happy wedding Anniversary guys" Mom greet her and peter's father Louis back and gave Samantha the bouquet. "Thank you Clair. Oh! There is my gorgeous darling. How are you Lisa?" She hugged me. "I am good Aunt Samantha. Happy Anniversary both of you. How are you ?" I asked her while hugging her back. "She is more than happy as Peter is back now." Louis said while smiling at us. "Yes of course I am" Samantha said with big smile on her face. "Where is Mac?" Louis asked mom. "Oh! He is coming, He went to park the car." Mom said. "Here he is! You both guys are looking amazing I must say" Samantha said while looking at both Mac and Johnson. "Thanks, Aunt Samantha. Happy Anniversary both of you" They both said while smiling. "Let's go inside. Peter is waiting specially to meet you Lisa." Louis said. I blushed, "Stop teasing her Louis." Samantha said and pinched on Louis hand. "Ouch! Alright alright" he said rubbing his hand and we all went inside the house.

They decorated house very well with ribbons and balloons. Slow music was playing in the background. Yellow lights were there in the entire living room. Everything was so beautifully decorated. "Nice decoration, Isn't it?" Somebody said by tapping my shoulder from behind. I turned and saw a man with brown hair and grey eyes his height was somewhere around 5'10 inch and he was wearing dark blue and white suit. I think I saw this man somewhere, But where I don't remember. "Yea, it's pretty." I said confusingly. "I think you didn't recognize me." He said with a little disappointment and smile on his face. "No, I am sorry actually I saw you somewhere but I am unable to remember where exactly." I said in confusion. "Nah that's fine. It wasn't that big meeting to remember though. By the way we met before your Interview." He said " oh! Yes Yes, You took me to the reception. Now I remember. I am sorry I wasn't able to recall you at first." I said with apologetic face. "No, no it's totally fine Lisa." He said with smile. Oh! He remember my name also. What is his name oh god I don't even remember his name. Should I ask him? No Lisa it'll be too award if you do that. "So what's that in your hand?" He asked me while pointing out to the card in my hand. "Oh, that's just a welcome card for my childhood friend. By the way what are you doing here?" I asked him. "I am..." He was about to say something but Samantha stopped him in between and asked "Peter, you met Lisa already?". My mouth dropped. What? Peter? He is Peter? My childhood best friend? Oh my god..Then I slowly recall his name when he told me at the time of my interview. I couldn't recognise my best friend how stupid I am. "Yes mom but surprisingly he couldn't recognise me". He said with a big smile on his face. "It's not her fault Peter you look so different now. She saw you when you were a kid." Samantha took my side. "Yea mom I know that I am just teasing her." He rolled his eyes. I was just smiling and looking at both of them with still shocked expressions on my face. "I came here to call you both for cake cutting ceremony." Samantha said. "Yea mom will join you." He said and we followed her to the table near the sofa where a beautiful 3 floor cake was placed in the centre. Nice cake I muttered. Peter slightly came near my ear and said "I know thank you". I blushed. All stared clapping when Samantha and Louis cut the cake. Peter joined them too. He popped up champagne bottle "Cheers to the mom and dad" he said and pour it to everybody's glass.

After the dinner I came in the lawn where I used to play with Peter. I stopped coming at his place after he moved out from town. It was really pleasant night. There was cold breeze and sky full of stars. I sat on the swing to refresh old memories, When Peter came and sat next to me. "It feels really nice here." He said "Yea, I missed you a lot Peter. I tried contacting you many times but I couldn't reach you. You suddenly went for your studies without even informing me and I got really upset." I said with some tears in my eyes. "I am really sorry for that Lisa. Even I missed you a lot. I only had one picture of us and I keep seeing that. Even now also it's in my pocket." He quickly took out his pocket and showed it to me."I won't let you go anywhere now" I said and quickly pulled him in a hug. He hugged me back and said "I won't leave you alone now Lisa don't worry about that. Now stop crying like a baby or else your Mascara is gonna get spoiled." He teased me. I wiped my tears and pulled his nose "As if you are not crying ha? And scene when you cared about my mascara? You used to paint my face with water colours I still remember everything." "Ouch! Ouch that hurts! I am sorry for that. I take my words back please leave my nose." He said. "Okay" I leave his nose and rolled my eyes. He quickly wiped his ears and started rubbing his nose "You haven't changed yet. You are that same little monster. By the way I guess that card is for me?" He said. "Oh yes it's for you. I forgot to give it to you. It's a welcome card I hope you'll like it." I said. He took the card and started seeing each and every picture of the card carefully he read everything on the card. " Do you like it?" I asked "No I don't." He said with a sad face. " You don't like it?" I asked with a dropping face. "No stupid I don't like it I just loved it. It's really amazing. You put so much of efforts for making this card for me. This is such a wonderful gift Lisa thank you so much." He quickly hug me and I hugged him back with a smile. "Oh look at the falling star!" He pointed towards the sky. We both quickly close each others eyes and made a wish. "It feels so nice. Like old good times." He said " Yea. Do you still remember we used to do the same when we were kids?" I asked him " Obviously I remember what was your wish?" He asked me. "Job in your organisation" I muttered. "Oh yea, I forgot to ask you about that. What happened with your interview?" He asked. "I donno. I didn't get the results yet. Jack must have rejected me because I made my first impressions so bad in front of him. I guess he hates me." I said and buried my face in my hands. "Why what happened?" He asked me. I narrated him the entire story. "It is my dream organisation petter and I really want to work with Jack but I donno I got that job or not." I said with a low voice and disappointed face. "Don't worry Lisa, Jack is my good friend. We met when I went for the further studies. We did our graduation together so we know each other very well. I'll try talk to him about you. Now cheer up don't be so sad." He said while patting my back. " Yeahhhh!! Thank you so much Peter. I am so happy right now I can't explain you my emotions currently." I said while jumping up and down. "Haha I can see how happy you are and I know you are deserving girl plus it will be fun working with my best friend." He said smiling. "Yes of course." I said and hugged him tightly. "Lisa, It's really late now we have to go home. Say bye to Peter and come to the car." I heard mom was calling me. "I need to go now. Bye Peter see you soon." I said. We exchanged the numbers and he dropped me to the car. Everybody said bye to eachother and we left for the home.

Now I am even more excited to work with Jack and with Peter around.
