Pure Blood (Vampire Queen)

Four

Geo and his friends walk around town, searching high and low for the 3 people Gigi mentioned over the phone. Bring newborns, they were bound to be somewhere looking for their first meal.

Ash looks at all his friends, "So... no one is going to address that horrid scream we heard a moment ago?"

"Oh don't worry about it, that was just Gi doing what she does best." Geo say apathetically.

Ash turns pale by his words, "S-so Gigi made that person scream like that?"

"Yeah she's scary."

Kat jumps in-between the two, "I think we should split up. Since there are 3, we need to find them before they get the chance to feed."

Chachi runs to the right, "I'll check downtown."

"Then I'll check uptown. Geo you and Ash can keep looking around here." Kat runs in the opposite direction as Chachi, "Call Gi if you find anyone." She calls out.

Geo watches Kat disappear before turning, "Alright Ash, let's go, I don't want to be out here. all night."

They make their way around the town for a while, when Ash suddenly stops. Geo puts his arms behind his head and keeps walking. "What's up man?"

"I just.. didn't know Gigi was like this."

“Oh dude, have you been thinking about her this whole time?"

"I can't help it. I haven't seen her in a while and knowing that who I see here isn't who I'm used to..." he trails off.

Geo stops and looks back at Ash, "She's really not that bad. You have to understand that she's a vampire, it's in her blood to grow a little malicious as time passes. Though she may act a little cold and be a little frightening sometimes, she's actually really nice and she cares about everyone. Even humans believe it or not."

"Really? I-"

Geo cuts Ash off by putting his hand over his mouth, shushing him. "Do you hear that?"

Muffled, "No?"

"Someone's crying."

Geo walks a few ways up stopping in front of a dark ally. He begins to walk into the ally, the crying growing louder. "Please someone.. help.. what's happening to me?" Geo slowly approaches the weeping girl but she backs away. "Get away from me!" she screams.

"Geo!" Gigi jumps off the roof of one of the buildings, landing in front of them.

She cautiously approaches the girl and squats down. "She's really frightened," Geo says step up beside her.

“There is no need to be afraid. We are here to help you, you can trust us." The twins eyes turn a light purple, signifying their safe and reliable energy's. The girl slowly stops crying and her breathing calms.

"My name is Gigi, this is my brother Geo," Geo waves, "Do you remember your name?"

The girl stays silent for a moment as if trying to remember, "Um.. it's Filah."

Gigi smiles at her, "Good. Can I ask you something Filah?" The girl nods, "Did you.. bite anyone?"

"N-no I didn't. But.. I'm starving a-and my throat feels scratchy."

“I can help you with that." Gigi stands up and extends her hand to Filah, she stares at it before hesitantly taking it.

Ash doesn't take his eyes off of Gigi as they walk through town to a tall, pointed building. Geo gesture's to the building, "This is what we call the tower. It's where you'll be staying until you can get your hunger in check."

Filah gasps in awe as they walk in and up to the front desk where the receptionist bows. "Welcome your majesties," he says with respect.

Gigi taps the countertop with her fingers, "Hello Braz, is father in?"

"Yes ma'am, he is in his office, shall I send you up?" "If you would." Braz presses a button as they walk to the elevator.

Two large guards grab Ash and pin his against the wall. "Hey!" he shouts confused.

"Princess Gianna, are you aware you're being followed by a human?" one of the guards growls. Gigi looks at Ash and smiles slightly,

"Of course I do, he's with us. Be a dear and let him go would you." The guards let go of Ash and dust him off, Geo snickers.

"Apologies sir, carry on." They step into the elevator, Ash hurries to Gigi's side.

"What the hell was that?" He asks.

“They were just doing their job, protecting the future queen." Geo lets out a soft chuckle.

"Well thanks Gi."

"Don't thank me, I’ve done nothing. If I would have said you weren't with us they would have taken you away and probably killed you. And that.. I just can not have."

Ash smiles down at Gigi, "Does that mean you care about my safety?"

"More or less. You're Geo's best friend, if I would have sat back and done nothing he would hate me. He's the only sibling I'm fond of so it's only right that I protect his friends."

Ash's face drops as if he were depressed. "Oh I see." he says sadly. Gigi smiles lightly to herself before Geo elbows her in the arm and mouths the words "be nice." Her smile immediately disappears.

The elevator comes to a halt of the 50th floor. As the door slide open, Gigi see's her youngest sister, Gami, sitting behind a large desk and her older sister, Gayn, approaching her.

"I'm back from vacation, did you miss me?" Gayn hums.

"Not even a little, get away from me." Gigi says as she lightly pushes Gayn back with her fingertips. Gayn stumbles back as if she's been shoved. "Hey!" she hollers.

Gami rests her chin in her hand, amused. "Look who decided to show up for a change. Daddy's in his office I'll buzz you in."

"Thanks."

Gami looks over and see's Ash, she immediately jumps up and runs to him, hugging him tightly. “Oh Ash! I've missed you so much, I'm so glad you're back!"

Hecchuckles as he returns her hug, "I've missed you as well Gami." Gayn walks by and Ash's attention is quickly drawn to her stomach, where he sees ample scars.

The giant wooden doors open and Gigi walks inside, followed by Filah. Geo turns and looks at Ash, "Let's go man."

"Oh, yeah, I-I'm coming."

Ash walks into the giant room, him and Filah look around stunned. The room had marble floors and a large crystal window looking out over the town. In the middle of the room is a large wooden desk with two chairs resting in front of it. Bookshelves cover two of the walls along with a couple statues.

"Wow," Filah begins, "this place is amazing. I've never seen anything so beautiful."

“Perks of being vampire royalty. You get the best of the best." Geo says proudly. Filah looks at Geo confused, "Royalty?" He winks at her.

"Father?" Gigi calls out.

A man dressed in black steps out of the shadows and looks at his children, "Gianna, Geovanni! My children, to what do I owe this unexpected visit?"

Geo gestures to Filah and Ash, they sit down on a couch closest to the door. Gigi takes a seat across from her father’s desk. "I've come to make a report and I’ve brought a grievance." She says.

"That's Lord Amar. He's the vampire king." Geo whispers to Filah. Lord Amar takes a seat behind his desk and gestures for Gigi to sit down,

"Go on."

"Do you remember Scoop?" Gigi asks as she sits down.

"You mean that awful young man with no manners? Unfortunately, why?"

Gigi sits back in her chair, "He’s turned three people tonight," points at Filah, "she's one of them."

"He did what!?" Lord Amar slams his hands on his desk causing Filah to jump. "Did you sink your fangs into his neck?! Did he scream for his life!?" he yells.

Gigi smiles, "I did, and he did. I can only assume that he's dead by now."

Lord Amar sits back down as a wide smile spreads across his face. He claps his hands together, pleased. "Very good."

He turns his attention to Ash, "Ash my boy, how was your trip? No troubles I hope?"

"No sir," Ash says, "no troubles at all."

"That's great to hear. It's nice to have you and your family back." As they talk Gigi gets a call, she stands up and walks away, picking up her phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Gi, we found the other two. What do you want us to do?"

"Bring them to my pent at the Tower. I'll just deal with all three at once."

"Alright, we'll be there shortly."

"Thanks Kat."

She hangs up her phone and looks at Geo, "Could you take her up to the penthouse? Kat will be there with the other two."

“Sure," Geo gestures to Filah, "follow me."

"And take Ash home please, he's a target. Can't have him running around too much." Gigi says through telepathy. "Geo nods, completely understanding his sister.

"Daddy, can you wrap this up?" Gigi sighs, her father looks at her as if knowing where this is going. "I've come to speak with you about something important."
