Madness (Part 2)
Diana's POV
The hours dragged on as I paced back and forth, anxiously awaiting any news about my destination. If anything happened to the babies, I would be held responsible.
"Doctor!" My mother rushed toward him, and I followed with a sense of dread. "How are the babies?"
"Well, the mother is still unconscious, and the babies..."
"What happened to them? Don't tell me..."
"Well, since they were born prematurely, we still have to wait, but I am particularly concerned about one of them. She has serious breathing problems and may not survive."
My body shook with fear. It was likely that one of the babies might die, and that would mean my own downfall.
