An escape with problems. Katherine's POV It's unbelievable how scorching hot it is here. We're incredibly wealthy, yet I can't even turn on the air conditioning because Margot isn't around. Seriously, do I really need to ask for permission to cool down? Ridiculous. "We meet again, Miss Katy." Oh God, that voice. Not again—the insufferable gardener. "Oh, hello," I mutter, trying to distance myself. It's probably not wise to get too close to someone who ran away from his employer's house without permission. "Wait, why are you leaving? Do I make you uncomfortable?" "Yes, you have work to do, and I, well, I have my homework too," I say, attempting to edge away. "Katy, wait. Look, I realize I was a bit rude and pushy earlier. I made you uncomfortable, and I'd like to make it up to you."
