Where Is Sam?

2 hours later

When I pull in our houses driveway, I notice that the kitchen light is still on

"oh s**t" I mumbled under my breath.

I walk up to the front door and open it expecting to see Samantha sitting there with her green mug full of hot chocolate waiting to give me a lecture on how late it is and how she can smell the alcohol on my clothes, but instead my mom was sitting there with a look of concern on her face, as she sees my she look happy with is a rare thing but as she notices me closing the door behind me and that Sam was not with me her smile quickly faded into her usually frown.

"Where is your sister she was mean to come home with you"?

The words rattle around my brain, being partly drunk I shrug and start to hear towards the staircase to sleep of the alcohol. My mum's chair straps across the wooden floor, I hear her feet shuffle has she walks towards me. She grabs my arm and looks me dead in the eyes

"We'll discuss this tomorrow when your sister gets home.”

"She's already meant to be home she left the party at least a hour ago"

"You were meant to come home with her not by yourself"

Looking at my mum I continue my way up the stairs. I make it to my bedroom, time to sleep.

The next morning

Beep Beep Beep

My alarm clock goes off waking me from my slumber I turn over and wrap my head in my sheets, I really need to stop partying on school night. I mumble to myself, the sunlight shines through my blinds telling me I really should get up, but my mind which feels like it's getting squeezed to pieces is telling me to stay where I am. I fall back to sleep for a few minutes when I hear the low but still loud rumble of my stomach asking to be feed, eventually I get up and wonder down stairs to our kitchen. I notice a note on the fridge which was left by mum telling me that she'll be late home and that dinner is in the oven. I look over my shoulder to the clock which hangs next to the calendar which reads 7:30pm. I guess I fell asleep for longer than I thought.
