Party Time-1
“This is your fault Elliot, you're the one who told her go home by herself, she’s not here, because of you”
“Mom I am sorry I thought that...”
“Yeah you thought wrong”
Having arguments with my mom has become a regular thing ever since Sam's disappearance.
"Come on Elliot we need to go home, mum's going to angry if we come home after curfew”
my little sister screams at me try to be louder than the music.
I turn to her
“We don't have curfew for another 40 minutes”I say as I shrug my shoulders I mean like seriously even if I am late what is mum going to do about it ground me? Yeah right.
“You can go home by yourself you 18 not 8 anymore, you don't need my help” I say back, she opens her mouth to protest but just looks me in the eyes. She makes her way towards the door I watch her go and wave to the back of her head as she closes the door trying not to disturb the couple who have each others tongues down each others throats.
Samantha was never the party type, most people assumed that since we're twins that we must like the same thing but boy are they wrong, Sam likes books, science and never saw the point in football. When I on the other hand disliked books, loved to have my music blasting through the speakers rattling the floor of our house and football is my life. So when she told me that she wanted to go after only being there of about 20 minutes to say the least, I was not surprised.I let her go there was no argument like we normally have whenever mom makes her‘socialize with people her age’.
I finally leave the party about a hour after Samantha left I try to ring her to come and pick me up as we both have to share a car but she wouldn't pick up, I think that she could be angry with me for not leaving with her. As I walk around trying to catch a ride home with anyone else, I notice a car that looks exactly like ours a 1970 green Volkswagen beetle. It was ours, but if our car was still her then how did Sam get home?
