Ava was walking slowly heading home, it was nearly one o'clock in the evening. After they had been given the second detention miss abby with a lot of threats of how she'll detain them whole week if they went out of a library even for fraction of second she left them in school, worst is that ava and jay didn't know they were alone when they went into the office to submit the work it was empty by then it was already six o'clock. Ava cursed, for ms abby fooled them into staying in library doing their work while she left soon after.
ava always liked to take a walk on her way back home, it gave her space of recalling her day and today became one of her rare and wonderful days. From the moment she was admitted to her new school ava promised herself to be a real pirate, that she wouldn't put any effort into effect in making new friends and whomever became clingy or gave a hint of interest to her was in for it and all went great until today that is. Ava herself heard of her rumors which spread across like wildfire explaining why she was chased from her former school and jay was right saying there were numerous version of rumors being told of her, some tried approaching her at their own interval to get conclusion of the rumors but all their efforts were futile eventually students gave up on her. others started calling her a narcissist since she always stayed by herself but that didn't bother her for she had already gotten used to being called names.
Though today she never expected jay would have approached her, she usually cared less about people's names but she knew about jay before they even had officially met for he was a newcomer like her admitted to the school few months earlier before she had arrived. from her perceptive ava saw jay as a loner who has a rough life once outside the school walls but try hiding it by making everything looking all shiny and sunny guess maybe that was the reason she became able to tolerate his presence despite the pestering he provided. ava had also came across the video of jay that trended on chats it was hilarious indeed but never gave it a thought since everyone had some funny part in their life story to spice it up.
Ava was so immersed in her thoughts that she didn't saw the girl standing beside their mansion gate. The girl had on full black attire from top to bottom and her hair was tied in pony tail only when ava neared the mansion did she saw her, ava was used to finding strangers regularly standing in front of their mansion mostly were girls who came to take photos to post in social media and start bragging of how their life is wonderful and blessed but this girl gave ava uneasy feeling, she was watching the mansion in full attention that ava's senses were aware whatever reason that brought her there wasn't a good one.
judging peoples characters was one of few things ava was good at, that ability made ava feel special like she had some kind of superpowers. Ava tried reading the girl, she didn't seem like a burglar but definitely the girl stood as a trouble maker, ava could tell from the clothes she wore high boots, hand gloves, black leather jacket gee all those just screamed keep your distance that's what she would've worn in giving the people cloth language without shooting them eye daggers. she fit in perfectly among the shadows under the tree branches outside their mansion wall by the look of it the girl had been there outside for some time, across the road there was a black Honda. That must be her ride the idea crossed ava's mind.
ava decided to go ask the business which brought her to their mansion, she took fast long steps.
"what are you doing outside our house?" she confronted, stopping few feet from irina.
Irina wasn't startled by ava's presence, she had seen her approaching long before ava saw her. she arrived at the mansion over half an hour ago to her disappointment no one was around other than the guards who secured the mansion, she waited patiently outside for the owner to arrive and when ava returned her disappointment grew now she needed to go in and find the sceptre herself, she doubted if ava would've slightest idea about it.
"so, this is Addams mansion?" irina asked ignoring the question ava posed to her earliest.
ava acknowledged that her question wasn't answered and she sensed the question which Irina asked her, she already had its answer.
"you know what, my day have been great day go off now and I won't call security. we already had fair share of stalkers as it is and am in no mood to add more in the list." ava compromised.
irina scoffed, she couldn't believe her ears had heard right. ava was used to people doing stuff and jokes in front of her all the time, at her own home she didn't wanna leisure them that comfortability.
"what did you just_" she stopped abruptly when irina sprinted directly towards the wall and jumped over their ten feet wall as if it was only half a feet. The way she jumped ava could've sworn that irina flied over it for she seemed to be like floating over its edge as she disappeared on the other side. ava was glued in the spot with amaze, the voice of their guard groaning inside thawed her.
ava ran to the entrance gate when she entered inside two guards who stayed at the gate were both in the ground groaning, across the garden she saw irina had arleady reached their mansion and the other guard who stayed at the front porch was sprawled down at the foot of the mansion stairs. jeez that girl is fast the thought passed in her head, ava approached one of the guards and took his g*n. The guard tried gripping ava's arm to stop her, she pushed him away. This chick have no idea whom she is messing with she thought to herself.
