Ava favorite toys were guns from young age, her dad used calling her a little big soldier, yeah he used to. He was around no more it had been over four years since she had last seen him face to face, his best excuse was that works to be done were too many and they kept him busy. Ava saw that they had all the money anyone could have ever wanted in their single lifetime but his father seemed to never be satisfied, he was always out to find more it had been so ever since her mother left them, she didn't even go to court to fight for the chances of seeing her children after the breakup. Once the divorce was over she just took off with half of the family wealth and buried herself in some far away hidden island with all luxuries money could buy. Three months later when his brother Ron turned eighteen, her father left ava under his care and started going to his business trips nonstop, his brother explained to her that their father being around them was like a constant reminder of the good days he shared with his wife. That just pushed ava's button, she changed from good girl direct to bad one over night, so as to get her father's attention, all was in vain never a single thing she ever did brought him back the messes which she caused were cleaned up with some money her father sent and incidents were buried down as if they had never happened, money was funny that way. That's why in meaden high no one knew of the act she committed. Ava started running direct for the house when reached inside the vessels in the hallway were broken, ava was astonished with Irina's guts. She climbed the stairs in a hurry at the top ava found the door of her father's office in the east wing had been kicked open, herself never dared entering into his office. Her thoughts lied to her there were demons inside that office the moment she enters they'll posses and make her ambitious and delusional towards money like her father, those were traits she didn't on top of her personality to be described as. she followed Irina into the office, everything in the office was in mess sofa turned upside down, his father's working table drawers were open and papers loitered on the floor. Irina was at ava's father bookshelf continuing with her disorganization by pouring the books down. "what do you want !!" ava screamed at irina. irina continued searching as if she hadn't heard ava. "where is it?" Irina asked. Sudden Change startled ava that she shot the g*n in her hand direct at irina, before her own eyes she saw the bullet diverging away from irina hitting the wall behind. Ava couldn't believe it the act spooked her that she aimed the g*n at irina and pulled the trigger three times, same was seen the bullets swerved off irina as if she had an invisible barrier shielding her, ava remained in awe. "those won't work on me" irina told ava. "Bullshit!" ava retorted then took the blade from the mantle and swung it with all her strength at irina. Irina easily caught the blade from ava, pulled her closer and her left hand strangled ava's throat, she choked furiously and thrashed at irina trying fighting to get air, ava left the blade to fall and desperately hold onto Irina's arm opening them to get free. "enough with this stupid games of yours, just tell me the sceptre is and I would let you live." irina whispered in ava's ear. Ava didn't even knew what irina was talking about and if she did, she wouldn't have been able to answer for her throat was struggling for air. irina let go of ava's throat after noticing her struggles of breathing as she fought for air. She landed on the floor and started chocking her lungs out furiously, ava have never been strangled like that before and never wanted to experience it again. "I...don't know what you are talking about.." ava replied her voice hoarse due to lacking of air as she brushed her throat. irina paced around the room, suddenly she stopped. "I need to talk to your father." she told. "well good luck with that haven't seen him in years, what would make him even wanna talk to you?" ava replied, she had backed up to the wall her left hand still holding the throat. "because there isn't much of choice given." irina answered as if it was obvious, she walked to the phone on top of the desk. "what's his number?" ava told her the number then remained silent watching irina as she dialed. Irina left the phone on the desk in loud speaker they both listened as it rung ava laughed hoarsely "told ya." "hello?" a man answered on the other end of the line when ava heard his voice she couldn't believe it, he had told her only to call at the end of months neither did they talk for long his father kept the conversations short, it hurt her hearing his voice but not able talking to him only if she had known she would've entered into the office to call him daily. "ava?" her father called. "this is irina Mr. addam and I am requesting your royal service on the behalf of my capital under the code of hospitality 428." irina spoke loudly so Mr addam could hear correct, she still doubted their trust. Mr. addam remained silent for some time then released a sigh, "I accept your request according to the code, addams family is at your full disposal." Mr addam replied in tired voice. ava was shocked once more, her father never spoke much on phone mostly it was one sided conversation and it involved her doing much of the shouting let alone him giving authority to another person young as this intruder, what is going on here she thought to herself. "thanks for your generosity, I am here searching for the sceptre of my king. one lost during enlightenment of men." she spoke calmly. "have heard of it, but sorry my family never hold onto it." he replied then continued. "though my great grandfather had been following up on it." "and?" irina demanded when Mr addam remained silent. "according to his research, he concluded by writing 'what you seek shall be found in the man cave' that's all I know." "where is the man cave?" irina asked. "saying the truth I don't know, I just read it in his journal. He was obsessed of the things your nation lost in that war and one of it was that sceptre of yours, the words in his journal were written in english for exception of only two words which he encoded the sceptre itself and the name man cave, guess that maybe its location." "it's in the museum." ava abruptly spoke out she didn't know why she did it. she just felt like doing something that could catch their attention especially her father. irina turned to her, "you know the place?" "duh, the man's cave is inside of the museum. it's just some section of it they have figurines and statues of stone age people or something like that." "great, you will take me there." irina told her. "leave my daughter out of this, I'm pretty certain you can find the museum and the man cave without my daughter's help." Mr addam said sternly. working her father up was the most favourable ava's hobby and she saw there was never gonna be another time like the present. "I'll show you the museum, I would also take you inside to that section of the man's cave." she told Irina with smile on her lips. "ava stay out of this you don't even know these people. Irina we both know your trip here is unwelcome there will be trouble along the way, I don't want my daughter in any part of it." Mr addam spoke harshly. "I'm a big girl I can take care of myself." ava spoke loudly for her father to hear. "ava_" but he was disconnected when irina returned the phone in the cradle. "then all is settled, forgive me but I'm not a big fan of dramas." irina apologized to ava. "don't worry, we never spoke much." then she stood up. "well, come on chop chop we've got a trip to fix." Then she went outside of the office. Irina just remained standing looking at ava, she was never judgmental nor tried sympathising with anyone especially in family matters, but ava interested her.
