part 1 The hall was large and its ceiling was high raised by marble pillars and at the middle curved upward shaped to look like a dome from outside. Its floor was well furnished and covered in brown tiles in front of the hall there was a throne the arms were gold and its back red cushion was placed. Windows in the hall had long thick brown curtains with golden roses sewn to its fashion this was a throne room where the king met his citizens each on by one and listened to challenges they faced in their daily live hood in communities of the kingdom. Far end of the hall in front of the throne there was a corridor and echo of footsteps could be heard coming into the hall with ongoing conversation. "my lord the enemies have arleady broken the bolder line troops." thick voice was heard. Then from the corridor appeared a man in his early old ages maybe sixties, he had a round face and beard with greys on its edges that nearly hid his mouth, he had thin pink lips and his eyes sparkled with life despite of the age. He wore violet cloak with golden crown on his head decorated in gems. closely behind followed another man nearly of the same age, his face was thin and long he had light brown eyes and long hairs about shoulder length with goatee covering his chin. He walked in steady strides of a soldier and had a sword in sheath around his waist. "send in more troops along the bolder line and move all the citizens present there into the city." lord Vincent ordered. "But my lord sending more troops would leave our city unprotected and vulne-" "Haven't you heard me general our citizens at the bolder are the ones facing the terror right now from those barbarians, so I would like to ensure their safety first." vincent spoke sharply cutting off general's pleas. "Apologies my lord for speaking out of turn." General apologized humbly then added. "what if there is another way of changing the tide." "would like to hear it, for i am running out of plans." lord Vincent told him. "if we only seek the tool surely this nuisance would be done and dealt within second." general said. Lord Vincent stopped abruptly as if he'd been slapped at the back, then turned to watch his general with curious and inquisitive eyes, general bowed his head a little. "you mean the sceptre, one lost eons ago?" he questioned. "yes, my lord." general replied in quite voice, lord Vincent broke into a loud laughter. "you must either be crazy or the age finally had caught up with you. To search for sceptre, how much crazier can it get." he spoke while shaking his head. "my lord the sceptre existed long before any of us, even now it still do exist. only if the gates were still open the sceptre would've been retrieved ages ago." general explained. "okay general tell me, if and I mean a big if, the gates were still open you want me to send out men down there? Have you forgotten what had happened all those years ago, do you want history repeating itself?" lord Vincent questioned the general with reasons. "no my lord I don't, but surely the mundanes have already forgotten about us." general told lord Vincent. "maybe yes or maybe not." lord Vincent replied then stayed silent for a while. "tell me then what's in your mind on how to retrieve the sceptre when all the gates are closed?" "Some of the gates to transport our people back from earth are present though dormant, for teleportation down to earth we'll use time tower it is the only machine capable of finding fracture through time and space making possible to create a loop of teleporting down there." general explained. "theoretically it's a great plan though practically Its be impossible for it'll take months even years to find till we find the sceptre and I don't think it's a good idea sending a squad to earth during a crisis like this." lord Vincent raised his doubts on the plan then turned and continued to walk. "what if we don't have to send a squad but only one elemental." general corrected. "You mean hunter?" Vincent likely questioned himself then scratched his beards as he gave it a thought. "mmh, it's not a bad idea, still the person who'll be sent will take also days i guess even more than the whole squad to achieve that mission." "there have been a speculation that when a portal is opened it synchronize with similar frequency from planet it was opened, if so likely the portal will find a position on earth where it have frequency nearing our own and which instrument can it emit such frequency on earth other than your sceptre?" general told him clearly pleased with himself. "if so the person sent will be within range of the sceptre." lord Vincent said as now he fully understood the logic. "now do you have someone in particular to send down there?" "Yes, my lord I have someone in particular." general stopped at the foot of the stairs leading to the throne leaving lord Vincent climbing the steps towards his chair, after he had seated on the throne lord Vincent looked down to his general. "Say his name then." lord Vincent commanded as he watched his general intensively. "It is not a he my lord rather than she, her name is Irina Kishov." general said profoundly.
