📖 Chapter 1: The Rejection
> I had waited my entire life for this day.
The day I would find my mate.
My heart thudded in my chest as I walked into the Alpha’s ceremony. The crowd parted, and then I saw him—Alpha Kade Stone, the strongest, most feared leader of the Dark Moon Pack.
His storm-gray eyes met mine. I felt the bond snap into place like lightning in my chest.
He was mine. My mate.
But then...
“No,” he growled, stepping back as if I’d slapped him.
“I, Alpha Kade of the Dark Moon Pack, reject you, Aurora Blake, as my mate.”
My world shattered.
My wolf whimpered inside me.
Rejection burned worse than silver.
“Why?” I whispered, tears clouding my vision.
“You’re weak. And I need a Luna, not a burden,” he said coldly before turning away.
That night, I swore one thing:
I would never beg for love again. I would rise—stronger, fiercer, unstoppable.
And when I do...
He’ll regret rejecting me.
---📖 Chapter 2: The Goodbye
> My bag was already packed.
I didn’t need anyone to tell me I was no longer welcome in the Dark Moon Pack.
Word of Alpha Kade’s rejection spread like wildfire.
Whispers followed me through the pack house. Pity. Mockery. Disgust.
“He was right. She’s too plain to be a Luna.”
“Maybe the Moon Goddess made a mistake.”
I held my head high, swallowing the tears that burned behind my eyes.
My best friend, Mira, met me at the edge of the forest.
“You don’t have to go,” she said. “You could stay. At least with me.”
I shook my head. “No. I need to leave. I need to find out who I am—outside of this rejection.”
She hugged me tight. “Then promise me something.”
“Anything.”
“Come back stronger. Make them choke on their words.”
I nodded.
“I will.”
I stepped past the border, severing my ties with the only home I’d ever known.
And just like that, I became a rogue.
But I would return one day. Not as a castaway.
As a Queen.
📖 Chapter 3: The Stranger in the Woods
> The forest at night was colder than I expected.
I kept moving, but every c***k of a twig made me jump. My wolf, Lira, was quiet—still hurting.
“We’ll be okay,” I whispered aloud. “We don’t need him.”
I didn’t know where I was going. Just away.
That’s when I heard it—growling.
I turned just in time to see a massive wolf step into the moonlight. Not just any wolf—a rogue.
“I don’t want trouble,” I said, backing away.
The wolf lunged.
I shifted mid-air, claws out. Lira roared inside me, ready to fight.
We collided hard, rolling across the ground. I bit his shoulder, he clawed my flank.
Then—
“Enough!”
A second voice, deeper, powerful, filled the forest.
A man stepped out of the shadows, shirtless, with eyes like molten gold.
The rogue backed off immediately.
“Who are you?” I asked, panting, bleeding.
“Name’s Ryker,” he said. “Alpha of the Bloodbane Rogues.”
My heart skipped. An alpha? Of rogues?
“You’ve got fire, little wolf,” he said, smirking. “I like that. Come with me. We can train you. Make you stronger.”
I hesitated.
But something in his gaze didn’t see weakness—he saw power.
“Yes,” I said. “Train me. Make me stronger.”
And in that moment, my real journey began.
