“Thanks for dinner, Dad. We’ll see you later.”
“Thank you, Mr Bradshaw, it was a beautiful evening.” Adds Troy.
“You’re welcome. Are you guys out for the night?”
“Yeah…don’t wait up, Dad. We’ll come see you again tomorrow, okay?”
With a nod from my Dad, I reach up to kiss his cheek, then hug him tightly. It’s a horrible thought, but it could be the last time I see him, my last chance to tell him that I love him. I have faith in what is about to happen, but I don’t want any regrets.
“I love you, Dad.”
“I love you too, Nina.” He smiles, kissing the top of my head.
