From The Dark To The Dark
It is cold and dark, I am starving, and I am so scared. I cannot find a way out, and as every moment passes, I am terrified he is going to come back. Every night, or maybe day, he comes down here and drains me of life a little bit at a time, each time more painful than the last. Sometimes I consider taking my own life to end the unending suffering, but the little bit of hope that I will one day make it out keeps me from going through with it.
I hear a creaking along with footsteps and I scurry as far from the door as I can possibly get. As I see a tall dark figure come through the door, I realize it is not the same creature that normally comes, but I am still equally as petrified.
“It is your lucky day rat; the Master has taken a liking towards you” growls the figure.
“The Master?” I think to myself, “Is that who has been feeding off of me?” Suddenly he shouts at me with a menacing tone,
“Stop cowering in the corner and get up, I do not have all day!” Timidly I stand up and follow him through the door and up a flight of stairs where we reach a hallway. It is equally as dark and as cold as it was down where I was kept, but it is much more lavish with old paintings on the walls and red velvety carpeting lining the floor. As we continue to walk through the many hallways and climb many steps I am unsettled as it seems that the paintings are following us with their eyes.
We finally came to a large door, the large figure I have been following pushed it open with a super human-like ease. My eyes take a moment to adjust because the room is illuminated by candlelight. Once my eyes adjust I notice a very tall, very pale, yet very handsome man.
“I have brought you your new pet Master” said the creature, no, man, that I followed here.
“Very good Servious, you may now leave” said the handsome man I first noticed in the room. After a moment of gathering my thoughts I am dumbfounded by the fact that this handsome man is the Master I have been brought to.
“You” he said to me, “I need you to tidy my quarters”
