Chapter #7( The last huddle)

Thankfully, I found his pulse and he was breathing and was alive. Well, it was a big relief to me that I didn't kill anyone. I found his phone on the floor which was still on. I picked up the phone from the floor and someone was still on the phone. " Hello, Cleo. What happened? Why are you not talking to me?... Cleo, I am coming to you." he said on the other side of the phone and I hung up the call quickly because I was afraid that he might come, out of the phone. I saw a car key peeking out of his shirt pocket and I carefully took it from him. I got up on my feet and made my way out of the room, leaving the man behind. And I was thinking in my mind about Cassy. Could she be at it? She was drunk last night and if that funker don't chase me. I won't be here. I cautiously made my way into a narrow hallway. And reached into a spacious living room and it wasn't huge but a normal-sized living room. I saw some pictures of a gorgeous woman hanging on the wall which I found familiar. I don't know where I saw her, but I have seen her before, but I just can't point a finger at it. I pushed my thoughts away and found myself walking to the front door of the house and I opened the door and immediately I was blinded by the sun. It took me a minute to get my vision back. A large mango tree shaded the eastern corner of the house from the sharp morning sun, its long, leafy branches swaying over the old, red, clay-tiled roof. The smell of wood and camphor hung in the air. I felt relief that I finally got out of the house and I saw a white BMW car was parked in the driveway. And on the opposite side of the front yard was a large pool. " Aisling, come on, move your ass quickly before that physco comes back to kill me." I thought and the main gate automatically slid and I quickly jumped down on the ground and hid myself behind the car. My knee was killing me but I bent down on it, not thinking about the pain. I heard the sound of a car engine and I knew, I was going to be in big trouble if I didn't get the hell out of here soon. Next I heard a loud slamming sound. My heart nearly stopped but I decided to peek behind the car to see if he was coming towards me, not me, but the car. And, long behold, indeed it was him, speaking of the beast, and the beast was present and he was standing next to his car and taking his phone out of the jacket he was wearing. He dialed a few digits on it and placed the phone on his ear. And I wonder who he was calling wondered, but not for too long. In fact, he was calling me, not me but the man's phone I stole. The phone was blaring with calls and I quickly ducked back down again and switched off the phone, with my shaky fingers, before he could hear it. I clutched the phone to my chest like a baby and heard him saying, " What was that?" My heart skipped a beat and heard his footsteps. My mouth became dry and I have accepted fear as a part of life - specifically the fear of change... I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says: turn back. I have no time to act like a coward and I need to save myself and only I can do that. I gathered all my courage and leaned down flat on my stomach and squeezed myself under the car. All I could see was his black ankle boots. He was walking around the car and I held my breath for two minutes and all I was doing was to pray to the Goddess Venus to save my life for Azelaic. All I ever wanted was to be with him once again.I wanted him to look into my eyes and tell me everything would be okay when I am at my worst. I want his hugs knowing he will be with me. I'm done. I don't need anything more out of life. All I ever wanted was him right by my side again and forever, and that's enough. I am not asking for much, I just want to see him again please... Azelaic came back to me. I am missing you wholeheartedly. I know you are listening to me. I know you are somewhere waiting for me. I just know... please come back and take me out of this miserable life.I wish I could go back in life. Not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice. A tear slid down my cheek and fell on the pavement.
