Chapter 6Adam checked his watch and debated his options. Sasha had promised that she would be done by the time Adam returned from the grocery store, but he had food in the backseat of the car, and Sasha was nowhere to be seen. He could continue to sit in the parking lot and wait for her, but he knew that Scott, Colette, and Ida were waiting dinner on them—especially since Ida had given them a grocery list and a specific set of instructions.
Adam sighed and killed the engine. Maybe if Sasha was going to be much longer, he could just drive the food over to Ida’s, then come back to pick her up.
