The day of my parents funeral dawned. It was a clear, bright and sunny day, but I was too lost in a haze to notice. I was having difficulty, trying to come to terms with, them no longer being here. I was missing them horridably. I was now truely alone in this world.
Mrs Hampton and Anna had gone to the mall yesterday, and bought me back, loads of clothes and some toiletries. I thanked them for everything and for letting me stay with them.
I had on the long sleved, high neck, knee length, plain black dress, Mrs Hampton had deemed, suitable for me to wear to the funeral.
We travelled to the funeral service together. The cemetry was located in a quiet, rural area. They got out of the black limousine, but I stayed seated in the back for a bit, trying to compose myself. They seemed to understand and waited on me. I got out and we walked on over, towards the area, which had been prepared earlier, by the funeral coordinator. We took our seats on the white lowback chairs, placed in the front row.
I halfheartly, listen to the words of the preist, dronning on and on throughtout the service. When it came time to lower the casket, I stood up and threw a single white rose onto it, saying my goodbyes. It was their wish to be buried together, and they even had a cream custom design casket made to hold them both.
Suddenly, out of no where, the wind started to blow, howling loudly, making a funnel around me, flaping my hair around me face, ruffling my clothes. It lifted me up, off the ground slightly, as if, it wanted to take me far away somewhere.
I feel a hand hold onto mines, turning to look, I see its Mr Hampton. He was trying to keep me grounded. The wind grew stronger, pulling him with me now. People were screaming and staring at us in shock. A couple of men from the service, quickly grabbed onto us, pulling us down.
As suddenly and loud as it came, the wind stopped and it grew quiet. We colasped onto the ground in a heap.
Everyone quickly got into their vehicles and left. We all returned to the Hampton's Penthouse in the city. A few mourners who hadn't been scared off, returned with us showing their support. Mrs. Hampton had catered, finger foods and drinks to serve them.
Presently, I was out on the terrace, trying to get a bit of fresh air, wanting to just get away from everyone talking, frantically about what ocurred earlier.
I noticed Anna inside glancing out at me. As usual she was beautifully atired, in a short long sleved black dress wearing a six inch steleto heels.
Anna left her clique of usual friend and walked over towards reaches her Ieft hand out and touches my shoulder, rubbing it in small circle.
"I'm sorry Angela, I really am," she tells me with tears in her eyes, which she quickly blinked away.
"Thank you," I tell her, suprised by her offer of symphaty.
"I pray that we don't have to attend, another one of these and find Josh soon" Anna says with a tight sad smile, then walks back to friends.
"Finding Josh, is my top priority!" I muttered under my breath.
For the past two nights, I have been having vivid nightmares of Josh. In my dreams he always stuck between our world and another. The worlds did not touch, but coexisted individually, so as to not have transference.
I didn't believe that he was dead. I felt as if somehow he had gotten sucked into that limbo of nowhere and everywhere, when the tornado ocurred.
Basically, Josh was no longer in my world. The main question really was, how do I get him back?
