I spot Josh's parents up ahead. They had a few small cuts and brusies about their faces and arms, but otherwise seemed fine.
Mrs. Hampton came on over towards me, and asked if I was okay, while hugging me. I told her that I was fine. She then asked for my parents, and I told her that I
did not know where they were, as I had spent the night in the tree house. I told them that Josh was with me this morning, omitting the part where we had spent the entired night, wrapped up in each others arms. Then the disater had strucked, but somehow we gotten separated and now he was missing.
I asked them for their daughter Anna, they sigh with relief staing, that she was out of town for a few days with her boyfriend, visiting his sick grandmother.
The police and fire service personnel showed up, while we were still talking. Josh's parents goes over to greet them, notifying them that their son and my parents were missing. The police asked me a few simple question, like where we were? What we were doing? What time it was when tornado struck? Tornado? Was that what this was? I think to myself.
I told them all I could , and they promised to do their best in locating Josh and my parents.
Afterwards, they launched an urgent search for them, and all the other missing people. The tornado had destroyed almost everything withinin its path, within a three mile radius. The police had rescue dogs, that could located trapped persons under debri.
It was now noon, and still Josh had not been found, dead or alive. I was feeling so guilty, knowing deep down that I had something to do with this.
I was sitting in a corner by the broken Eucalyptus tree, trying to remember exactly what had happened before, I found myself up high in the sky.
The TV station reporters arrived, and I heard them declaring on the news the disaster as a tornado. So it was confirmed now.
Was it really a tornado, or was it something evil, that I had created? I wasn't sure which one yet, but the quicker we find Josh, the faster I would be able to find out more about myself.
I suddenlly heard a shout from the rescuers, seems like they had located someone. I ran over to area, it close to where my home had stood, but was now destroyed, only to be held back by Mr. Hampton.
"Let me through, I need to see if it's Josh," I urgently tell him.
"Honey, it's not him," Mr Hampton tells me reassuringly.
I feel a great sense of relief, but despair also.
"It's your parents and they are dead," he utters sorrowfully.
"No! No!" I yelled out heartbrokenly.
Mrs Hampton takes me into her arms, letting me cry my eyes out.
She and her husband decides that it would be best for me to leave, and he would remain back for a while in hopes that they locate Josh.
She takes me with her to their city penthouse, which was only fifteen minutes away in the city of Blubkore. When we got to the penthouse on the tenth floor, I was given a stiff drink, then sent off to bed to sleep. I tooked a bath, and put on one of Anna's dresses Mrs Hampton had loan me to wear, as all of my clothes and personal things were gone. She assured me that she would get me newer, nicer things to make up for the ones, I lost.
I lay in bed twisting and turning for awhile, unable to fall sleep, guilt eating away at me. Tears for my parents rolled down my face, wetting my bed.
The Wrights may not have been the most loving parents, but they did love me, in their own way which was shown in lavising me with things.
