Forbidden Contract with a DEMON

A SIMPLE TOUCH

“Amy, are you ok?” Ryuu was shaking my shoulders gently.

“I am fine, I guess” I opened my eyes. It was very dark and but I could tell that we were in a huge cave.

“Where are we?” I looked around to see Tammy and Raskar.

“We fell into those cracks and got separated from Tammy and Raskar. I tried to protect your head when we fell but still the fall was too much for you and you fainted for few minutes.”

“Thank a lot for protecting me. Gosh, I hope Tammy and Raskar are also fine. Can you hear anything? Their voices or something?”

Ryuu also looked around. “No, the walls are very thick, I cannot hear anything.”

“I am so worried about Tammy, what if she is hurt…”

“She is a strong pureblood vampire, if you are fine, she is also fine. I am sure we will find them soon” Ryuu patted on my head.

I was so sad to be apart from Tammy. “I really do hope so...”

He offered me his hand and helped me to get up. He pointed left side. “There is a path here, let’s try there, maybe we can find something”

The path was very narrow and dark. It was very hard for me to see anything at all. I tripped over something and Ryuu pulled me to him, stopping me from falling.  

“Amy, did you not see that rock?”

“No, I cannot see anything at all. It is too dark”

“Oh, I did not realize that. Hold my hand then, I would not want you to fall”

“Thanks” I smiled and took his hand.  His hand was very big and warm, gave me a comfortable feeling.  

“Have you ever felt like you know someone for a long time, even if you have just met them? he asked calmly.

I was surprised to hear that question, because that was how Tammy and I were feeling about him.

“Yes, I feel like that when I am with you” I smiled again.  

His voice became cheerful. “I know right, so it was not only me. I felt like you and Tammy are very close to me. I do not know, even your scent seems familiar.”

“Do I smell?” My question was sounded like an objection. After all, I was freshly out from a shower in the river. How bad could my scent be...

Ryuu laughed. “Everyone has a smell…I do not mean that you smell bad. It is really good, like mountain flowers, very refreshing yet calm. Tammy smells like a vampire of course, still she also has a rose scent, very gentle. I feel like I know your scent, it feels like family.”

“That sounds very nice. I am happy to hear that”

“Wait” Ryuu held my hand stronger. I went silence immediately. 

“Tammy” he whispered.

“Ryuu?” I heard Tammy’s voice a little ahead. Ryuu leaded me there in the dark, I was so happy that she was fine.

“We are here” Ryuu said in a low voice. I could also hear light footsteps coming to us.

“Ryuu! Amy!” Tammy hugged me. “Are you ok, did you get hurt?”

“I am fine. What about you? Where is Raskar?”

“I am fine, but I cannot find Raskar. We fell into different cracks and got separated. I am really worried about him too. I think that plant goblin is also here”

“Let’s follow the path then, we can find an exit maybe” Ryuu said. The path was still very dark but thankfully both Tammy and Ryuu had great vision in the dark. Soon after they stopped.

“The path divides in two ways, which one should we take, left or right?” Ryuu looked both ways.

Tammy took a deep breath. “I know, I am trying to sense it. I think I can hear something from right”

“I also heard it” Ryuu looked at right side.

For me, there was something else. I suddenly remembered more from my dream; it was like this and I was taking left side, most probably. Even now, it was as if someone was calling me from there. I wanted to go to the left side.

“Left, we need to go to left” I took a step to that side.

Tammy held my arm. “Why?” She sounded surprised.  

I shrugged. “I do not know… I cannot explain my dreams, I cannot explain this feeling. But it is left for me Tammy.”

She stayed silent for few seconds. “Ok, it is left then. I do not trust my vampire senses in this place, I will trust yours instead.”  

Ryuu held my hand. “I am fine with it too, left it is”

I felt a little nervous that we were doing as I wanted. I hoped that I did not put anyone in danger.

“Amerean….” I heard a whisper.

I looked around but Tammy and Ryuu were just walking normally. “Guys, did you not hear it?”

Tammy sounded confused. “Hear what?”

“A whisper?”

“I did not hear anything Amy.”

“Ok, weird. Maybe I am nervous, Sorry” I said puzzled. Was I being delusional…?

We continued walking. Soon after there was a white light shining at the end of the path.

“There is light, quick!” Tammy pulled us to that side. It was getting brighter with every step. We reached to see what was there and all of us froze in front of the view.

We were in an underground valley full of flowers, trees and shining stones. The whole place was a big circle. We were standing above side and only ten meters away, there was a big waterfall downstairs. It was creating a lake and in the middle of that lake, huge statues were standing. I could immediately recognize the statues; they were the first Elders. They all rose their one hand above, looking at that side. In the middle of their hands, it was standing.   A huge white light, shining brightly. It was warming me even from afar.

“I cannot believe it…it is really amazing” Ryuu’s mouth was opened in wonder.

Tammy looked at the light. “I can feel the power coming from it”

For me, I heard the voice again as I was looking at the light.

“Amerean” It was louder this time, not a whisper. But the voice was hard to understand, it was like many people were talking at the same time.

“Amerean” again I heard it in my head loudly. “You did not hear it again?” I asked Tammy and Ryuu.

“Amy watch out!” Tammy pushed me on the ground. A yellow light ball flew to where I was standing and hit the wall, giving it a big damage.

Tammy and I were on the ground. Ryuu covered both of us. “It is the Fay”

“The light is mine! Get away from it!” yelled the Fay from other side. He was also standing in front of the waterfall, but he was in the opposite side of the circle. The light was just standing between him and us, shining above the statues, surrounded by the lake.

The fay threw a light ball again. This time Tammy got up in front of Ryuu and me. She created a big energy shield. The yellow light ball hit it and disappeared in midair.

“My spells are back” Tammy looked at us smirking.

“That is great to hear and it was really cool to make that shield” I was nervous but happy that her powers back. Ryuu and I also got up and stood next to Tammy.

Suddenly, Raskar came from the left side of the circle. Followed him was a huge wolf. It was even bigger than a bear. He attached Raskar but Raskar punched it strongly that the wolf flew back in the air.

Tammy looked at him with worried eyes. “Raskar!”

Raskar also saw us. “Tameris, careful!” Again, a big yellow energy ball flew, this time it was to him. He dodged it. “Are you all right?” yelled Raskar looking at us.

Tammy nodded. “Yes, what about you?”

“I am fine, but the Shifters are coming”

A tall man walked in behind him. He was one of the shifter participants I saw in front of the Elders. He looked at the wolf lying on the floor. “Tsk, weak thing. Do not let a bloodsucker hit you”

The wolf got up and snarled at Raskar, getting closer to attack again.

 The man turned to us. “I see, you damn dog can only serve to the blood suckers after all”

Ryuu took a step ahead. “I am not serving anyone. I choose who I stand with” He was looking angry.

The man looked disgusted. He turned to the wolf. “Kill the damn dog. I will handle the vampire.” The wolf stood up and started running to us.

“Stay behind me” Ryuu’s nails grew longer and became like claws. Meanwhile Raskar ran behind that wolf to our side but the shifter got in between and stopped him. Shifter growled and he punched Raskar. He stopped his punch, but it was so strong that caused him to move back. Raskar’s fangs became very visible and he attached the shifter.

The wolf growled while he was running to us. Ryuu yelled in warning. “ I do not want to fight you. Get back” But the wolf attached him. Ryuu hit it and sent the wolf back. But it got up again and kept attacking. Ryuu’s muscles got tensed, his blood vessels became more visible and I heard a small growl from him. He held the mouth of the wolf and dragged it till waterfall. He threw it from there. Ryuu did all these so smoothly like it was a very easy thing to stop that wolf and carry it.

We looked at Raskar and Shifter. They were still fighting.

Shifter moved back. “Ahh, damn blood sucker, you are giving me trouble” Suddenly, his body started to change. I could hear bones getting broken even if he was not very close. His body quickly turned into a huge gray wolf. This one was even bigger than the other wolf.

“I will handle that” said Ryuu but Raskar yelled at him. “Stay there and protect them!” That made Ryuu stop and stay with us. The gray wolf attached Raskar again. The wolf was very strong but Raskar was fighting it well.

I checked the Fay. He was watching all from the other side. He saw me looking at him and smiled. Then his focus moved to the Sacred Light standing in the middle, between us. To reach the light, one needed to jump a very long distance. It was impossible for a human. But the fay walked back and started running with a speed I could hardly follow. He jumped towards the light. All of us were watching him now.

He reached to the light. The light ball was so big that the big fay looked very small next to it. He was smiling when he was about to touch the light. But then, as soon as he touched it, Light sent white flame like energy around it and his body turned to dust. I was shocked to see such scene. The white flames kept circling the ball like showing their anger.

Tammy took a deep breath. “No way, how is that possible….”

Ryuu also looked at the Light confused. “The Light did not accept him”

“Amerean” I heard to voices again. I felt a strong connection to the light. A crazy thought came to my mind, it was the ball keep saying that word in my head. I was feeling like I had to touch it.

I walked to the edge, as much close as I could get to the light.

Tammy was looking at Raskar but she realized my movement. “Amy, careful, what are you doing?”

I looked at the Light. “Are you calling me?”

“Amerean” The voices were in my head loudly.

“Amerean…Is that me?” I talked in my head this time.

“Amerean, Come” I never felt such feeling before. It was so strong that I did not want to stay, I wanted to run to the light. But I was afraid to do that alone.

“Can you accept my friends too? Do not burn us like you did to the fay” I sent the message in my head. 

“Amerean..Friends...Together is Stronger...Amerean...The One..Together....” There were many voices talking now and all were saying something else. I could not understand it for a while, all kept talking and talking. I held my head as it was hurting by the voices.

Ryuu came to my side and touched my head. “What is wrong Amy?”

Tammy also came and held my cheek. “Amy, answer us what is wrong?”

The voices got stronger, they were arguing in my head.  “Amerean, friends…. The Chosens…Come Together!...Come!....Come!.....Come!”

All voices started to say one thing; Come…

I turned to Tammy and Ryuu who were looking at me with worried eyes, trying to figure out what was wrong with me. “Tammy, Ryuu, we need to touch the Light”  

Tammy frowned. “What? Did you not see the fay, we will die if we touch it”

“That is because he was not allowed. But I got permission now, listen the voices”

Tammy looked at me like I am crazy. “Amy, what in the world..” She did not complete her sentence, instead she opened her eyes looking shocked.

She turned to the Light. “It is calling...”

 I looked at Ryuu. He was also looking at the light surprised and confused. “I can hear it too”

Tammy nodded. “Yes, I heard my name from the light”

I insisted again. “It is calling us, we need to touch it”

Ryuu looked worried. “But the fay died?”

“He was not called. But they have been talking to me so I think it is fine, somehow” I was also confused but I felt a weird comfort too, even though I had no idea what was happening.

“Fine, we will touch it together then” Tammy took my right hand and Ryuu took my left hand.

I saw Raskar hit the gray wolf strongly. He looked at us with shocked eyes. “Have you lost your mind! Don’t touch the light Tameris!”  

Tammy looked at him and smiled. “Sorry, just trust us.” Then she pulled my hand. Ryuu also pulled me quickly like her and I found myself flying in mid air together with them to the Sacred Light. 

I felt a very warm, nice touch from the light as I was still holding my friends’ hands. Then everything turned into white.
