Chapter 0 - Prologue
Everyone noticed a distinct change in Luna. She was colder, disdainful, even. She was no longer the gullible girl she once used to be, gentle and forgiving.
Luna watched on emotionlessly as the vicious maid tried to spill hot coffee directly onto her face. She moved away gracefully in one swift motion, just in time as the hot liquid spilled onto the carpeted floor, slightly splashing onto the hem of Luna’s dress. When the maid realized her failure, she decided to play the pity card, mumbling an apology under her breath while bowing profusely.
Luna stood up and grabbed the maid’s face roughly so that she was forced to look directly into Luna’s violet eyes. “If you try this one more time, I will pour boiling water directly into your throat and watch you squirm as it burns through your internal organs,” snarled Luna, leaning forward so that she was looming over the now terrified maid. The maid nodded frantically, before scurrying off and disappearing into the darkness of the corridor. Luna stood in her wake, maintaining her cold composure.
At the Werewolf Sacrifice, Beta hid rogue werewolves in the Naesbrey Castle, causing misunderstanding between the werewolves as they thought that the Alpha and the rogues were colluding to provoke a war amongst packs. Luna lit a fire in Naesbrey Castle in her fit of rage, forcing the rogues to show themselves. They emerged from the dark where they were hiding, bowing their heads and admitting their mistakes fearfully.
“From this day forward, you are expelled from the Green Forest Pack!” bellowed Alpha Matwau, his low voice laced with menace, challenging anyone to oppose his decision. The rogues knew that they were truly in the wrong and fell to their knees, and they were wise enough to accept their fate than to go up against the Alpha. He was strong enough to kill all of them at once if he wanted to, and the rogues are more than eager to admit defeat while the Alpha was being merciful.
Once the rogues had left, the Alpha’s tense shoulders relaxed as he turned around to catch the eyes of the woman he loved most. He always found peace and comfort in those familiar purple eyes…the only thing in the world that could quell any anger of his. He took big strides toward Luna, and cupped her face gently when he reached her. His eyes scanned her delicate face, eyes filled with tenderness.
