Prologue
"Monsters are real, and ghost are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win."

Prologue:
Over 5,000 years ago...
The world has descended into utter chaos. The demon king, Lucian, attempted to steal the phoenix's Heart Stone, causing the world to turn on each other. The moment the stone was gripped by Lucian, the stone broke into five pieces.
The phoenix Seddrick Fraye was distracted by Lucian's illusions. His shadows surrounded him, making him believe he was being attacked. Little did Seddrick know this was a ploy to gain the stone and its power. By the time Seddrick could get to the stone, it was too late. The stone was broken, and peace was gone...
The phoenix's heart stone holds tremendous power. The stone is a symbol of peace among the factions. Some believe its power is peace itself, but they couldn't be more wrong. The power to get along comes from within. The purpose of the stone is balance. The stone represents both light and dark. When the phoenix's heart stone is fully assembled, it has the power to destroy life or create it. Whoever has the stone can shape the world as they see fit.
Long ago, the god Zeus tasked a phoenix to be the stone's keeper, for it was far too powerful for any ordinary being to possess. From then on, every phoenix in every life has protected the stone. Many have tried and failed to gain the stone. It has been a long-held secret that only a phoenix can physically touch the stone without consequence.
When the stone broke, the balance was broken. War entailed. Humans waged a war against the supernatural beings. The first sign of disaster was fear. Humans grew fearful of the otherworldly creatures. They saw them as monsters. Vampires began to starve, being forced to retaliate against the humans. They only ever fed on willing donors, but due to fear overrunning their minds, the humans refused to donate anymore.
The vampires and Werewolves' rivalry began again. They fought like cats and dogs. Demons tormented the humans, torturing their souls. Dragons leveled villages.
Misery in life was evident. Happiness seemed to be nonexistent in life anymore. Seddrick could see everyone wanted it all to end, but fear was all anyone knew anymore. Darkness was overtaking everything. The light seemed to have disappeared with he stone.
Seddrick did his best to keep the peace but failed. Every faction was now at war, and there was no end. Hope was lost. Seddrick saw no way to fix it. With the stone broken and no power left to fix it, he saw no other choice.
Seddrick is at the end of his life cycle. The stone can only be fixed during the planet alignment. All of the planets must align with one another during a full moon. This kind of occurrence takes several thousand years to happen. It is astronomically rare.
Unfortunately for Seddrick, this occurrence would never happen in his lifetime. He set a plan in motion to restore the balance. Each stone was placed in the 5 of the weakest Way Lines of the world. Way lines are the magical energy pulsing through the world. These lines affect everything in the world. The stone draws its power from them. To hold the balance at bay, the five stones must be placed in the weakest points.
Even though he placed the stones in the way lines the damage had already been done. Peace was broken. Human fear laid a plague in everyone's minds. There was only one thing for Seddrick to do before the warring factions destroyed one another. Seddrick did the unthinkable, but not before leaving the Order of the Flame with a mission.
The order has served the phoenix for centuries. They are tasked with finding the phoenix in every generation and protecting the stone until the next phoenix rises. Nothing has changed for them but the stakes. Finding the next phoenix is not only their duty, but it is imperative they do so for the fate of the world.
Seddrick Fraye flew around the world at hyper speed until he was nothing but ashes. This created an invisible ring of fire around the world, separating humans and the supernatural. Seddrick sacrificed himself that day in hopes the next would rise and finish his destiny.
