Maya smiled looking at Gargi. She stood beside Gargi while Ace spoke with the boys.
"Let's go, it's time for you boys to be on stage," Sawyer said.
Ace nodded his head pulling his mask and hoodie on. There was a knock on the door before it opened and Tanay stepped in.
"Ready boys?" Tanay asked.
"Yes, we are ready," Grant said.
Tanay is the main lead of the telecasting of this tournament. He is taking care of team A and B.
"Good guys. But we are recording and making a video. So the cameramen are standing outside your room. They will be walking in and record in here for five minutes, then they will record you guys walking towards the tunnel and onto the stage," Tanay said.
Tanay's gaze went to the tall guy standing beside Greyson wearing a mask.
"Your family or friends can also be a part of this. We are showing what you boys are on backstage and greenroom," Tanay added.
"Yes, Tanay. We understand, just give us a minute," Sawyer said.
"Cool, make it fast. We don't have much time left," Tanay said walking outside and closing the door behind.
"You wanna be a part of this?" Sawyer asked Ace.
"No, I don't want to be a part of this video. I will step out and see you, boys, at the tunnel," Ace said.
"Gargi, you can be a part of this if you want," Maya said.
Ace looked at Maya and Gargi. "Sawyer, only let the boys be in the room. We will all step out of here. The jaggers may recognise you two," Ace said.
"Yeah... Yeah... There are high chances they may remember us," Sawyer said.
"Okay, Sawyer and I will go to the audience box and sit," Maya said.
"Let's step out of this room first," Sawyer said and Ace nodded his head.
Gargi followed them out. Tanay looked up when Sawyer, Maya and the other two people walked out.
"Tanay, you can go in and record boys," Sawyer said.
"You four are not going to be a part of the video?" Tanay asked.
"No, it's their video and it would be better if they are the only one in the video," Maya spoke.
Tanay nodded his head understanding. "Okay, it's your call."
Tanay with his crew entered the room to record the boys while Ace started walking towards the tunnel.
The others followed him. As Ace is nearing the tunnel all he can think is about the girl.
The tunnel way is empty as everyone is focusing on the stage where Team Vici Gaming is.
They are talking about their training and the previous matches.
Ace stopped near the entrance of the tunnel where it's dark. He can see the audience box and everything from here.
Gargi stopped and looked at Maya as she felt Maya's hand on her.
"Thank you, Gargi... Thank you for bringing him here. The boys wanted to meet him. You have done a good thing bringing him here. I cannot thank you enough," Maya said in a gentle voice.
Gargi didn't know what to say. She looked at Ace and then at Maya.
"I know... I know that his presence is important over here. I have tried and he agreed to come here," Gargi lied.
It's not that she wants to lie to Maya. But she needs to make a good relationship with Maya and Sawyer if she wants to be close with Ace.
Maya smiled patting Gargi's hand. "Take care of him. Talk to him and be with him," Maya said.
Gargi smiled back, "okay."
Maya wandered towards where Ace stood.
"Ace," she called.
"Hmm." Ace said looking at Maya.
"Gargi will sit with you. Take care of her," Maya said before turning around and pulling Sawyer with her.
She didn't give any chance to Ace to say something. Ace blankly looked at Maya and Sawyer leaving.
He wanted to say that to take Gargi with them. He is not comfortable sitting with Gargi when he heard the lie she told Maya.
Ace turned his gaze and made eye contact with Gargi before he looked ahead.
After five minutes the boys started walking into the tunnel with the crew recording them.
"Now let us welcome our newest powerful players! Team A and B!" The anchor said. The crowd went crazy hearing that.
The boys did a fist bump with Ace before wandering onto the stage.
Ace crossed his arms looking at his boys proudly on stage.
Grant and Zeke stood together behind Ace as they looked at Team Alakananda on stage.
"Carl looks so good," Zeke said looking at Carl who is smiling at the camera.
"Yes."
