Charcoal art assignment part 2

895 Words
Ms Goodlings wandered over to Ada's desk to see her assignment. Ada drew an elephant, she loves the animal and decided to do a charcoal art of elephant. Ms Goodlings observed the assignment carefully, she took her time examing it. Julie waited for Ms Goodlings to say something. "Ada, you are always good at charcoal art but didn't you do a charcoal art of an elephant in your first year? Why did you do the same thing when I clearly mentioned not to repeat your assignments," Ms Goodlings spoke seriously. "What the f**k. Ada repeated the assignment?" Oslo whisper spoke. Ada's eyes widen in shock and horror. "Ms Goodlings, I have done the face portrait of elephant in my first year. I didn't repeat my assignments," Ada said. Silas looked at Ada, he doesn't know that she had already done the assignment before. "You out of all people should know that I don't accept the assignments even if it was portrait before and now the whole art," Ms Goodlings spoke. "I sincerely apologize Ms Goodlings. I seriously don't know about this, I have worked hard to finish this assignment. It is special to me and also important," Ada said. "She is going to accept the assignment," Fiona whispered under her breath. Julie watched as Ada and Ms Goodlings spoke for a while before Ms Goodlings gave 6 points to Ada's assignment. "See, I told you. She may make a show here but she will never give zero to her favourite student," Fiona said. "Let's not care," Julie said. "Rio," Ms Goodlings said looking at Rio's assignment. Rio waited for Ms Goodlings to say something. He did a portrait of an old man he saw in the park. There was something about the old man that inspired Rio to draw his face. "Good job, Rio. Keep it up, everything is perfect, the detailing is on point," Ms Goodlings said. "It's okay baby, nothing will happen," Silas said pulling Ada closer to him. "Thank you, Ms Goodlings," Rio said. Ms Goodlings turned her head and looked at Silas and Ada. "No, cuddling and romance in my class." "Sorry, Ms Goodlings," Ada said pushing Silas away. "Sorry, Ms Goodlings," Silas apologised. It took Ms Goodlings time to finish the row and go to the next row where Julie is. Julie put on a blank face like always. She doesn't even expect anything from Ms Goodlings. "Julie, I hope you improved this year," Ms Goodlings spoke before looking at Julie's assignment. Ms Goodlings blinked her eyes in surprise. Julie drew a portrait of her face but when it comes to the eyes part, she replaced them with a butterfly. So the portrait is imperfect without the complete face. Ms Goodlings stepped closer to see the small art Julie did in the wings of the butterfly. She drew herself with Ace as he became a part of her life and her art. Now he is a part of the assignment. "Hmm, I see that you have improved your work Julie, that's good," Ms Goodlings said. Julie nodded her head as Ms Goodlings observed the portrait in detail. "Your assignment is good, hope to see you improve and work the same in upcoming assignments," Ms Goodlings said giving 10 points to Julie's assignment. "Thank you, Ms Goodlings," Julie said nodding her head. The assignment checking went on for a while before Ms Goodlings stopped before her desk. "Now to the main part, I have to select two assignments for the semi-annual art exhibition. I have made my decision," Ms Goodlings spoke. Everyone looked at Rio and Julie, they are sure that Ms Goodlings would select Julie's work this year even if she doesn't like Julie. "Rio and Jessica's work. Congratulations, keep it up with your good work," Ms Goodlings spoke. Fiona and Bodhi's brows frowned in confusion. Julie rolled her eyes knowing it already, Ms Goodlings would never select the rebel kid's work in her class. "This is partiality, that is not fair. julie's work is far better than Jessica's," Fiona said. "Chill, Fiona. I already know that she would never select my work and I would've been surprised she selected my work. Anyway it doesn't matter, my work will stay with me and I got the full mark. That's more than enough, I wanna keep this piece with me," Julie spoke looking at her art. "But still," Fiona said. "Shh, its fine. Let's go and have our lunch. I'm hungry," Julie said. "This is not fair, Julie's work was better than Jessica's," Silas said. "Yeah, I agree man," Henry said. "Even I agree," Oslo said. Rio looked at Ada who is having a frowned face, uuslly Ms Goodlings select's Ada and Rio's work for every exhibition but this time someone took Ada's place and she isn't okay with it. "But Ada, how did you end up doing such a simple mistake? You know about Ms Goodlings more than anyone," Henry said. Silas narrowed his eyes at Henry signalled him not to utter a word. "Mistakes happen, Henry," Oslo said understanding Silas expressions. "Yeah... yeah..." "Let's go baby, its fine," Silas said kissing Ada's forehead before taking her to outside the studio. "What you wanna eat?" Bodhi asked Fiona. "I'm craving Chinese cuisine," Fiona said. "What about you?" Bodhi asked Julie. "I'm okay with anything, lets go to a Chinese restaurant."
