Julie raised her brow looking at the board as new semester dates are released.
"Dude, what the f**k September 16th? That's like two weeks away," Fiona said.
"Yeah... We thought we are having a month break before the actual semester begins. They are not even giving time to finish the in-between assignments," Ada spoke.
Julie didn't say anything as she is still having the hangover of yesterday's music party.
"Why are you not speaking? You okay?" Oslo asked.
Bodhi and Fiona looked at Oslo. "You are asking who?" Bodhi asked Oslo.
"Julie," Oslo replied.
Rio gazed at Julie who is sitting calmly without uttering a word.
"Leave her alone, she had drinks last night and is still hangover," Fiona replied.
"Drinks last night? Where did you guys go?" Ada asked looking at Bodhi and Fiona.
"There was a local music party happening in the lower Manhattan. Julie wanted to attend the party and we did," Bodhi said.
"It was a crazy party! We ended up staying there all night and yeah, Julie was drunk," Fiona said.
"When did you guys return then?" Oslo asked.
"In the morning."
"Is that the reason you three didn't attend the morning class?" Rio asked.
"Yeah, Rio. That's the reason, we had to go and take a bath," Fiona said.
"You didn't drink?" Ada asked Fiona.
"Nah, Bodhi slightly hurt his right hand. I was the driver last night. Julie had all fun," Fiona explained.
"Another party, don't you guys stay in dormitory or apartment every night? Because every night you will attend new parties," Ada asked.
Julie shifted her gaze from board to Ada who is looking at Fiona curiously.
Bodhi chuckled, "yes, even I'm curious about it," Oslo said.
"That's because Julie made a rule that we will be attending as many parties as possible that are happening in the city. We want to go to all the different kinds of parties," Fiona explained.
"Oh, but won't it disturb your assignment hours? Like we have assignments to finish and also regular classwork that has to submit," Oslo said.
"Yeah... Even my next question is that," Ada said.
"We do them and finish before the deadline. We don't really know how we will find out time to party but we do finish our work and whatever assignments are in the work hours. Julie is the expert in doing that, she also helps us with our work. So yeah..." Bodhi explained.
"Nice, you three are f*****g enjoying everything. We are stuck hours and hours trying to finish the assignments," Oslo said.
"So true," Rio said.
"I can feel you," Ada said.
"Where is your boyfriend by the way? Didn't see him these days," Bodhi asked Ada.
"Silas went to his home to meet his parental grandparents. His grandmother isn't doing well these days. So he went to pay a visit," Ada spoke.
"They live in?" Fiona said.
"New Jersey," Ada replied.
"Nice... So when he will be back?" Oslo asked.
"In two days."
Julie couldn't concentrate on their conversation. She needs to go to the art store to buy her art products as she is running out of the stock she bought last month.
Now she only has three days to finish the regular classwork. She has to start working on it.
She leaned her head on her palm as they had a conversation.
After some time everyone went back to their seats to leave the class.
"You going somewhere?" Fiona asked Julie.
"Yup, to finally get the art supplies," Julie replied dragging her body towards where Fiona and Bodhi stood.
"Good, I wouldn't join you because we are going on a small date tonight," Fiona said.
"Good for you two. See you two tomorrow," Julie said.
"See ya."
"See you tomorrow."
Julie left the class and university. She needs to take a bus to reach the art store where she usually gets her things.
*
"f**k, should I get a coffee first?" Julie asked herself as she stood at the bus stop.
She looked around, three people were standing at the bus stop waiting for their bus.
"I should get one," she said taking the left turn towards where the cafe is.
She hummed a song on her mind as she walked slowly. She watched the people around her.
There were a lot of people on the roads. She tried to think of them as their muses. She needs to finish her assignments by Monday.
That means she only has two days left and then she needs to attend the final tournament of Greyson.
She wandered into the first cafe she saw. The bells jiggled as she opened the door.
When she is done ordering and picking her coffee she wandered back to the bus stop from where she needed to go to the art store.
"Hmm..." Julie hummed.
A smile grew on her face when she saw her favourite store or the art house. Universal art store is one of the biggest art and stationery shops in New York.
She wandered into the shop. "Good evening ma'am," the salesperson greeted.
"Good evening," Julie replied.
"Can I help you?"
"Thank you, I will help myself."
"Okay, ma'am."
Julie picked her basket and walked into the endless aisles.
She pulled her phone out, dialled Greyson's number. She waited for him to answer the call.
Grant looked at the phone that is ringing. "Greyson, your phone is ringing," Grant said.
Greyson placed the dumbbell down and wandered over to where his phone is.
The boys are in their gym studio doing their usual daily workouts to keep their bodies fit.
Greyson picked the phone, answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey Grey," Julie said.
"Yeah..."
"So remember you said you will buy me anything that I ask for," Julie said.
"Hmm yeah?" Greyson said walking away as it's a bit of noise.
"Cool, I'm in the art house to get my stationary. You will be paying for my stuff," Julie said tracing her finger on the palate.
"Okay, I will make an online transaction," Greyson said.
"Okay, thanks. Bye."
"Why are you in the art house? Didn't you get your art stuff last month?" Greyson asked.
"Brother, I'm a final year student. I f*****g have assignments to finish every day. From now on you will be the one paying for my art stationery," Julie explained rolling her eyes.
Greyson rolled his eyes. "Fine, just send me when you are done with the shopping," Greyson said.
"Okay."
"When your final year starts?" Greyson asked.
"September 16th."
"Good."
"Yup! Bye."
"Bye, take care."
Julie ended the call, pushed the phone inside her pocket and looked at the aisle.
"Let's go baby and buy our babies," Julie told herself excitedly.
She started going through the rows and rows of paints and brushes.
Ace picked the charcoal box and placed it in his basket.
"Hello, sir. Need any help?" The salesgirl asked.
Ace turned his gaze, looked at the salesgirl. "Thank you, I will help myself," Ace said nodding his head and going to the other side.
Ace picked the art pad, looked at that and the other one. He started comparing both the art pads.
Julie picked the black paint tubes and threw them in the basket then she went to the other side to pick other colours.
Ace went to the board's side to get the artboard that he needs.
Ace stopped walking, blinked his eyes as he saw Julie near the end of the aisle.
He turned around pulled his mask out and wore it. He turned back to see Julie.
He watched her as he went through the boards. She is comparing them, Ace didn't know what to do.
If he should go and say hi to her or ignore her and do his work.
Ace's eyes suddenly widen when Julie faced his side. He turned around and started walking away.
Julie hummed walking front to pick another art canvas. She looked at the tall man standing in the middle.
She crossed him and wandered towards the other side.
Ace seriously felt like a stalker. He needs to get his art stationery, he cannot leave the art house without getting his canvas and boards.
He waited till Julie crossed the alley. When she did, he went to where she was.
But he could see Julie who is going through the canvas on the front aisle.
Ace stopped, kept looking at Julie. He doesn't understand why his paths are crossing with her.
He watched a smile break on her face looking at the canvas.
"Snap out of it," a voice spoke inside his brain. He shook his head, picked a random board and went towards the billing counter.
"This one will be better," Julie said picking the canvas.
Ace stood in the line waiting anxiously for his turn. He doesn't want to see Julie. He needs to get out of this shop before Julie sees him.
It's better for him and his mind if he stays far away from Julie.
He placed his basket on the counter as its turn. He slightly turned around to see if Julie is on the same floor or not.
He didn't find Julie, "sir."
"Ah? Yeah," Ace replied taking the bill from the guy.
He pulled his wallet out, pulled the card and gave it to the guy.
He waited before taking back his belongings and card. He left the art house in hurry.
