In between the decisions

Gargi blinked her eyes as she rang the bell and knocked on the door. She waited for Ace to open the door. She knew that Ace is home all alone. Maya and Sawyer went to the stadium as its semi-finals. Gargi sighed rolling her lower lip into her mouth. She thought she is going to spend some alone time with Ace. She was so happy when Maya called her informing Ace isn't going to step out. They asked her to talk with him. She cancelled all her appointments with her patients as she wants to go out with him at least for a cup of coffee. She seriously wants to try and make Ace her boyfriend. She got feelings for him, she is waiting for the right time to confess her feelings. But she knew that Ace believes in the connection. She needs to develop a connection with him before she confesses her feelings to him. She unlocked her phone and dialled Ace's number. She doesn't want to go back unless she talks to him. "Pick up the phone....pick the phone..." She whispered looking at the floor. She waited outside waiting for Ace to answer the call. Her gaze went to the door from the floor when there was a sound. She watched as the door opened and Ace stood on the other side. She smiled pulling the phone away and ending the call. Ace blankly stared at Gargi. If he is being honest, he doesn't want to meet anyone right now. He wasn't even interested in talking with Maya and Sawyer. He knew they would be asking him questions so he decided to not talk with anyone. "Hi, I thought you were out," Gargi said in her usual gentle voice. Ace is stuck in between making a decision. He was in his room thinking about the decision when the doorbell started ringing. "Hello, get inside," Ace said making space. Gargi nodded her head wandering inside the apartment. "No, I didn't step outside," Ace replied. "You didn't go out at all?" Gargi asked. "No, was not interested in going out," Ace replied blankly. "Let's go out to a cafe. Staying inside isn't good for you and your thoughts. Let's go and have a coffee," Gargi said excitedly looking at Ace. Ace stopped walking. He made his decision. "Sorry, I was planning to go to the stadium. The boys need me and I have to go," Ace said. Gargi stopped smiling. Ace was stuck in between if he should go to the stadium or not. Now he is sure that he needs to go to the stadium as he doesn't want to go out with Gargi. It's not that he doesn't like Gargi. Gargi is a good person but she will be getting into the therapist mode when she isn't his therapist. On the first day, he was okay telling her that he saw someone who looks like Julia. But when Gargi started calling him every night and asked him questions. For some reason, he felt attacked. He didn't like that a bit, he cannot ignore her calls as she is stubborn and keeps on calling him until unless he answers the call. "But Maya and Sawyer told me that you didn't want to go to the stadium? You wanted to stay home?" Gargi questioned disappointed. Ace blinked his eyes, "yes, I wanted to stay home but I made my decision of going," Ace spoke looking at Gargi. Gargi is quite tall compared to the other women. "You don't have to go there if you are not sure. Crowds can make you overwhelming," Gargi said. Ace nodded his head. He is sure that Greyson's family and his mystery sister is going to be there. He is not ready to see the face. He knew that she is not Julia... She cannot be Julia, he is okay with that fact. But he doesn't want to see the face. He wants to run away to the opposite side. "I know... But the boys need me. I have to be there and I cannot leave them alone when they need me," Ace explained. Gargi didn't say anything as she heard finality in Ace's voice. She cannot stop him from going. "Do you like to have some water or tea?" Ace asked. "No... No... I'm fine." "Water?" Ace asked. "Okay, I will have water," Gargi said. "I will go and get water," Ace said wandering towards the kitchen. Gargi stood there as thoughts ran in her mind. She doesn't have any plan of going to the stadium but if Ace is going then she will join him too. Ace returned with a glass of water. "Here." "Thank you." Gargi took the glass and took a sip of it. "Hmm Ace," Gargi said. "Yes?" Ace replied looking at her. "Do you mind me coming to the stadium with you?" Gargi asked. Ace didn't know what to say. "Yes, you can join. Just give me a minute, I will go and get my belongings." Gargi smiled brightly, "sure." "And please don't tell Maya and Sawyer. I will tell them over there," Ace said. "Okay." Ace nodded his head before turning around to wander towards his room. He went to his room, closed the door behind him. He wandered towards his wardrobe, opened the door. Picked a random black t-shirt. He pulled the hoodie he was wearing. He wore the t-shirt and then wore the hoodie back. He wandered towards the nightstand where he kept his phone, wallet and car keys. He picked his belongings, cap and mask before going back to where Gargi is waiting. "Let's go," Ace said. Gargi nodded her head standing up from her seat. She followed Ace out, Ace locked the door and went towards the elevator. He pressed the button and waited for the elevator. "Hmm, Ace. We will go in my car. I will drop you back here. I drove my car here," Gargi said. Ace thought about it. "It's okay, you follow me. You don't have to drive me back. I may go to some other place," Ace said. "I can drive you anywhere you want to go," Gargi said. Ace can clearly understand that Gargi is developing a hope of feelings for him. That isn't good for her or him as nothing is going to happen. "Thank you but it's fine, I will drive my car and you follow my car." Gargi stayed quiet even if she wanted to say that she wants to be with him in the same car. She nodded her head and the elevator doors opened. Ace waited for Gargi to step in first. He then stepped in and pressed the ground floor button. "You haven't been to the matches before right?" Ace asked. "Yes, I haven't. I didn't find time and yeah..." Gargi said. "Okay." They both became silent busy with their thoughts. Ace can only think of the face. A part of him is eager to see the face again while the other part of him wants to run away.
