I am jennie, being an Inspector of police all these years had only led me to being doubtful in whatever I am into.But I love my job. In my 20 years career, I punished so many criminals and saved many victims. You know being in a position to help others gives you pleasure which you cannot get over any other thing. When I began things, I had no interest in commitment or marriage and having a baby. But life will never move as we expect it to. I had a call from my office saying they found the body of a teenage girl on a construction site. And now I arrived at the site It was a half-done construction site with basements installed,I saw my officer surrounding the victim.I went near the victim.She was a very young little girl, same as my Riya's age. It made me feel sick just thinking about her in the position of the victim.This society is cursed with many serial killers. She was lying dead between two cement sacks.She didn't have her two wrists which was very suspicious. she had a shoe mark on her neck, which says she might be strangled to death. We collected all possible evidence from the scene and sent her body to postmortem. In the meantime I saw her parents take statements. According to them Elina was a beautiful and kind daughter who took part time jobs to help her family situation. She was a rank holder in her school. And literally had no enemy,as much as they knew. It confused me so much how A ranked student will get killed when she has no enemies. This made me think of her school and asked my colleague Raven to collect information about her school and friends. But to begin with we already had a possible suspect, he was the construction worker who informed the scenario to the police.I decided to interogate him before moving to any other details. When I Entered into the tent made to interogate the suspect, I saw the construction worker being anxious. First question I asked him was to explain how he had encountered the scenario. He answered me that he was asusual to the work and entered into his room in the basement to take his tools and saw the dead body. But He did something which made him a prime suspect, instead of calling us from his own mobile, he went all the way to his wife 's departmental store which was 1 km away from the actual place. There was a pen near the victim's body which looks alike to the suspects pen. These thing made me to ask explanations from him.But he had no correct explanation for anything.So I put him under surveillance and decided to take the sample of his shoe prints and compare it to the shoe mark in the victim's neck. The media was rushing from all over and started questioning me about the incident.I don't know why, The media never understood we needed some time to actually figure what had happened. When all this was happening around me, I saw Raven rushing toward me and informed me about the owner of the supermarket where Elina worked as part time employee have to say something.I was all excited about the lead and left the situation to meet her. She was a old lady sat crying and waiting for me.I asked her about Elina,She replied that she left the departmental store early the day before and asked Elina to close the shop by 9.P.M and also to bring her tablets and keys to her home before heading to her home. By 8.30 P.M she also called Elina and asked if everything was Ok and Elina said ok.But after 15 mins she made another call to Elina but she had not picked and at last the phone went unreachable. I cannot confirm this because we was unable to find her phone anywhere near her body.But after hearing this,I asked Raven to get permission to check the cctv footage of the street where the departmental store located. I need to wait for the postmortem report and the matching shoe print report and permission to access cctv.I had many doubts in the case and so I asked her parents,The owner and the construction worker for second level interrogation. I went to the station thinking about all this and spent my rest of the day connecting dots. After this long ,I actually forget about my family outing. I rushed to my home and surprisingly George was not angry at me,He said he watched the news and understood how terrifying it would be.We had dinner together and Riya went to sleep after kissing me and her dad had a good night kiss.
