She appeared at my doorway with a sports bag, I'd told her to pack light so it wouldn't attract too much attention.
She had told her father she was going to do some one to one training with me. That I needed some intense training, if I were going to run a gang then I would have to be better than the rest of its members. He wasn't too thrilled with the thought, but when she said it would probably be better to get the training out of the way before we were both engaged and assured him she would be back before the engagement party he agreed to it.
Once her father agreed I wrote a note to my parents, telling them the same thing, 'doing intense training before my engagement', but I didn't give them a chance to refuse before we left.
